Sal's Bakery

They have done every cake for us since they opened I have been a huge supporter. That is 6 cakes per year. I love their cakes it’s not too sweet always moist and the fillings we like which are the fruit filling is always so on point! Thank you for making every occasion a special one with your cakes.

Always a great experience at Sal’s. They’re the South Shore’s best bakery by a mile. Lots of excellent tasty and beautiful pastries, cakes and breads. Service is great and the location has lots of parking. They also have a great Instagram page.

This bakery has become our go to for desserts. Whenever we are visiting friends or family we make a stop here. I loved the option of a pastry/cookie platter they had before covid, I haven’t seen it since but it was a perfect mix. So many choices, it’s hard to not walk out with a little bit of everything. One of our favorites is the apple cheese meltaway. We now have special requests when visiting family from out of town. Updated review after ordering our first custom cake, it was delicious and fresh, everyone at the party asked where we got it and complemented how good it was.

We ordered our daughter a birthday cake from Sal's this past weekend. She wanted an ice cream cake with two flavors and sprinkles all over the cake. I spoke with Maria on the phone to place the order. She was so helpful and accomodating. This was the first time we used Sal's for a birthday cake, and all I have to say is the BEST CAKE EVER!!! We were so happy with how it came out and how delicious it was!! We used to use another place for all our birthday cakes, not anymore.....we will only use Sal's going forward!! Can't wait to also try their specialty donuts and other baked goods!

Two of the girls behind the counter would not get me the fresh 7-layer cookies from the case they insisted that I get prepackaged ones from the shelf telling me they were made that morning but it was more like they were put in the plastic container that morning but made at least the day before and were extremely dry. Someone should also explain to these girls that serving from the counter justifies their jobs.

Very clean, friendly, and delightful staff. Pies are fresh and delicious! Cookies are also great

Never thought I’d find a bakery to match Leskes in Brooklyn where I went every Sunday morning, for 35 yearsbut Sals is neck and neck. Wonderful place…. Great donuts , rolls, cakes and other specialty items. Their custom cakes are as good as they look. And are very creative. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hope Sals lasts another 20 years. I’ll be be 95, but very satisfied.

Overall I'd give this a 3/5, the donuts are good but they aren't great, the price is decent. I was surprised at how much I liked the donut with crunchy clusters on it. I was disappointed in the black and white donut. The donuts are less greasy than Dunkin Donuts but my family of 3 didn't feel good after eating them. Individual donut reviews below: B&W donut: the topping of black and white frosting isn't special, think typical black and white donut frosting flavor, doesn't match the flavor of a black and white cookie which was disappointing. The internal frosting is a sugar cream that tastes good but doesn't stand out from other bakeries. Pb&j: The glazing on the donut is a nice thickness that adds some crispiness to the donut. Peanut butter is pretty thick, tastes nice and creamy, but overpowers the jelly flavor. Would like it if there was more jelly. Boston cream: honestly pretty similar to Dunkin Donuts. My Mom finds the bread part of this donut to be not as good, describes it as too similar to a cake. Jelly donut: harder dough than I'd like for a powdered donut. Jelly is a strawberry jelly that tastes mostly sweet, pretty good. Strawberry donut with cookie dough: Strawberry topping isn't as strong of a flavor as I'd like. Cookie dough is soft with m&Ms, quite good. Cheese bear claw: it's pretty good. The crumbles have a nice crunch, cheese is adequately cheesey,

Bought strawberry short cake. Tooo much cream, not very fresh. Nobody enjoyed it.
