Bonjour! Patrick’s Bakery & Cafe serves delicious French cuisine in our patisserie, and the finest baked goods & desserts in the Twin Cities area.

Story

At Patrick’s Restaurant & Cafe our philosophy is very clear: a great meal is an emotional experience and we at Patrick’s try to make it an extraordinary one by creating beautiful pastries, exquisite dinners and lunches, wonderful breakfasts, artisan’s breads and warm cozy location that is inviting with a staff that cares about our important customers. Our chefs are bound by the same principles; therefore, no detail or element can be less important or more important than another in creating great meals, pastries, or breads.

It is our intention to take our valued customer through a French journey of culinary delight that awakens the senses, captures the imagination, inspires with places you haven’t been before and leaves joyous memories. Because a great meal never fills you up it leaves a “Want” for the next time. It is this “Want” that brings back our customers.

I've been here a couple times and in the past it was fine. This time was terrible. While they were pretty busy, it took almost 30 min after we were seated for our server to even take our order and we were there an hour before we got our food. We watched as people seated after us were served and done eating before we received our own food. I got the Forestier burger which was pretty disappointing. The burger itself seemed to be a standard frozen burger patty and the toppings were just kind of thrown on without much thought. The bun and my wife's puff pastry were great but otherwise our meals were a disappointment. I ended up just throwing out the left overs because it was that bland. When we were ready to pay we had to get another server to take our bill as our waitress was no where to be found. I've had their baked goods in the past and really enjoyed them, but this visit had really turned me off to ever going back.

Patrick's is by far one of my favorite restaurants. I enjoy coming here with girlfriends for mom's nights out, special dates with my husband, and even dates with my sons or family night. Their happy hour deals can't be beat. And the food is outstanding - I've never had a bad meal, the desserts are unique and delicious. Fair prices, attentive wait staff. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We’ve been regulars at this restaurant for the past four years. We go there all the time. The food is amazing we love it and it’s the reason we go back. But from our visits within the past four years I can count the times We had a good service experience on one hand. The waiting staff is not very friendly and they’re usually not paying attention to our table or others at all. I’ve recommended the place to lots of friends and co-workers and they all came back with the same feedback. “Great food, bad waiting experience.” We just love patricks so much and it’s really sad that we’re having to go there less often because we just want to avoid a bad service experience. We keep going back in hopes to have a better experience. We noticed a lot of the waiting staff has changed and there was a turnover but we’re still having the same issues.

Never wrote a review before. Needed to tell people how bad it was. They forgot to bring out our appetizer. They have been out of raspberry macaroons the last three times we have been here. Seriously, just take it off the menu. The fries were completely choked with salt. The food took forever. The poor girl who helped us was so overworked, she forgot a bunch of stuff we asked for. Not her fault, she was super nice, we blame management. Fish sandwich was completely void of the tartar sauce it was supposed to have, and when we asked for more, it was forgotten, had to ask again, THEN we were charged for extra tartar sauce we didn’t have to begin with. One of our burgers we ordered well done, and it was basically still mooing as we bit into it. Never again.

Food is great, the prices are reasonable for this type of restaurant. But the service has been bad the last three times I've been in. I sometimes go in by myself for a later lunch, and when I do go by myself, I am almost always ignored even when it's not busy. On my last visit, I had to actually wave to get someone to seat me after waiting for several minutes at the front, even though there were, at the time, a total of only 3 other booths of 2 each. I was seated and told a server would be there soon. Another server was taking care of the other booths, and I couldn't even catch her attention, as she walked with her head down, and looked horribly unhappy. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I saw the one that seated me come out of the kitchen, got her attention, and she came over and said "I'll take your order - what do you want?" I gave her both my drink and meal order, she left, and didn't take away the extra place setting. It was the host who finally brought my food out. There was no followup, no "how is everything" except for the one who apparently was supposed to be my server who came by and asked if the book I was reading was any good. I had ordered tea and rather than the silver pot of hot water, I just got a cup with the tea bag, about half filled with water. Again, I had to wave to get someone to get me more hot water. I not only did not feel like a welcome guest, I felt like I was a giant pain in the ass to both the servers and the host. I don't think I'll be going back.
