My first time trying Sahars and it was delicious! Ordering was easy and the lunch deal was delicious and super affordable. I got the goat curry, butter chicken, naan, rice, and a salad for less than $13 The butter chicken was creamy and tangy, the goat curry was delicious- however had a lot more bones than meat. I cannot wait to order again and try other menu items!
Taste of the food is so delicious that i am speechless. Must try indian food restaurant in kitchener downtown.
I ordered veg thali and it was really tasty that I just can’t put it in words. Moreover the staff was very supportive and behaved nicely. We were 10 friends and ordered tea and they made it in large quantity that all of us can freely enjoy. Moreover the atmosphere was also nice.
We got the veg and non veg thali and the appetizer platter. More than enough for 3 people! Great variety and value for money. Highly recommend this combo if you want to taste up to 4 different curries, starters and the grilled meat items in their platter. Amazing flavor.Food: 5/5
The best Indian food in town! Always super fresh and delicious. Loved their butter chicken. Very friendly owner & staff. We did their Tiffin service - everyday fresh food for pickup. Different choices daily. It was a great choice for us since we work all the time, it super easy since and we had a delicious hot meal everyday for lunch! Super affordable as well. Definitely try this place out, it's our favourite!
Although all the foods of the world have their own unique taste, Indian is my personal favorite. There is always a lovely taste, and perfect combination of flavors. Sahar’s Kitchen is a good restaurant, decent food, average ambience, and adequate price. The food is yummy, but not different. It tastes very similar to other restaurant food. We ordered a vegetable, and paneer dish, which were nice. I enjoyed the vegetable dish better than the paneer dish, and the naans we ordered were good, although a little chewy, and rubbery. Now, onto the restaurant’s looks. The only reason why we ordered from this place, is because our friends recommended it to us. If we hadn’t gotten that recommendation, we wouldn’t have ordered from here, because it looks like the kind of place with leftover food, and a smelly kitchen. The inside doesn’t contain a ventilation fan, so eyes were burning. If you were to dine in, your eyes would be hot, and red. The service was nice, we ordered takeout, so we didn’t talk that much to them, but so far, the service was good! Overall, the restaurant was competent, but not different, or out of the world. If you are in a rush, and quickly need some food, then this restaurant is recommendable. Although, if you are in the mood for some quality Indian cuisine, then I do not recommend this restaurant. It’s worth 3 stars, I’d say.
This has become my go to place for my weekly meals. I haven’t had time to cook due to work and Sahar’s Kitchen has been a delicious life saver. Their food never fails to impress. Currently obsessed with reordering chicken lababdar and chicken chettined which the owners kindly make extra spicy for me!
Ordered a bunch of food last night for the first time. The food was SO GOOD!!! The butter chicken was my favourite but everything was hot and fresh and tasty. I was impressed! Will be my go to from now on! Thank you!
I’ve dined here twice and each time it was excellent. Food was so flavourful and portions were good. Best experienced with a group of friends sharing a variety of dishes. Depending on what you order I would expect to spend $15-25, though their lunch special is a bit cheaper.Recommended dishesChana Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala
I normally write 5 star reviews but I felt like writing this one. I ordered the "Chef Special - Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani" and it was nowhere close to those heavy words. People who are giving 5 star reviews for the biryani have no idea what Hyderabadi Biryani is. Hyderabadi Biryani is my favorite and I have had authentic biryani in the city of Hyderabad numerous times with Mirchi ka Saalan. So I know what I am talking about. What I got at Sahar's kitchen was more like Chicken Fried Rice with an Indian spicy blend. If that is what it said on the menu, I probably would have given a better rating. But I feel cheated for what was served in the name of Hyderabadi Biryani. My suggestion to the owners would be to change the name of the dish or go to Hyderbad on their next visit to India and try what authentic Hyderabadi Biryani really tastes like. Unfortunately what you are serving is nowhere close. There is a reason why most of the 5 star reviews are from people who may have never visited India/Pakistan ever.
