Great store, even better prices. Think of a glorified No-Frills Let’s keep in mind that this is Freshco, an “affordable” grocery store, and not a SAFEWAY. While I liked Safeway, I like Freshco just as much as it’s budget friendly. Want a bakery, fresh deli, grocery store sushi? - then go to the Superstore.
Went into the store Sunday Jan 29 and couldn’t believe how empty the meat dept was , while shopping 2 employees were walking around not sure who they were but think they were ordering but never said excuse me while cutting you off and then not even move while you could get done the aisle , also looked for a product that was in the flyer couldn’t find it so I had a young guy and he wasn’t sure said he would have to ask his manger I said yes please so he walked away me thinking he was going to go ask and he didn’t even bother , very poor service I know it’s a new store but definitely need more training and also know how to deal with customers
Clean, well stocked & good prices. Overall, I’m impressed and very happy with new store.
Very excited to try this new grocery in Red Deer. Since Safeway was my one and only grocery store in Red Deer. Sad to say goodbye but definitely expect something new and competitive than others, But very disappointed from the first perspective. This is shop has nothing special. If the prices up quality needs to be top thats how you guys can have many customers but compared to price, product is just same as other or even cheap. Really disappointed.
The people were friendly but the selection is bad and prices are high. Bought a fruit tray and the cut up apples still had cores. I won't be back.
Quite disappointing. Everything that was pleasant and enjoyable about Safeway has been removed; everything that is unpleasant about big box stores has been added. At our office, located nearby, Safeway was a popular destination at break times. We often visited the deli, and our office birthday cakes came from the bakery. Our offices had 45 plants that came from the Safeway plant section. It's disappointing that Safeway has been replaced with FreshCo. What a dump.
Cashiers need training in customer service. Whatever happened to "Hi, how are you. How about a smile!! Not very welcoming. Train your staff on how to be courteous and kind.
The only SAFEWAY in town. This place for the lock of words the cleanest grocery place l have seen the floors and display shelves are always shiny. Also they have very good meat and reasonable price as well Not to mention pharmacy, flower shop and coffee shop.
