Preorder a cake for Father’s Day. I explained them what I exactly wanted but could not provide the picture and they did a good job on cake. Cake comes out perfect and same I wanted. Love it and appreciate hard work of team and the person who made the cake

I had just come out of Safeway after shopping for the second time because I realized I forgot things. I had what I believe were the store managers and a Paladin Security officer there, who was East Indian.nnThey told me that I couldn’t sit there and that I had to leave, as if I had just been loitering, but I had literally just come back and finished packing up. I was getting ready to leave and was being told that I couldn’t sit there anymore as if I was causing a problem.nnAt most, there was a bit of commotion because my dog is a puppy and she was playing and being cute, but that does not justify how I was treated. I used to live behind this store and I have never been treated so poorly there before.nnThe managers had already said that I could have a bit more time to finish gathering my things, but the Paladin Security officer continued telling me to go and acted like his word overruled theirs. He got close enough that it felt like he might put his hands on me, which is not okay.nnI like this store and a lot of the workers in it, but the Paladin Security officers who are East Indian consistently make up their own rules on the spot and ignore what management says. This keeps happening, and it needs to be addressed.nI want to add that there are a couple of them that aren't that way but I find that they also volunteer at the soup kitchen on like the rest of them and I believe that makes a big difference.

Very good. A nice selection of produce fresh Neely arranged. Meats and fish excellent fresh again. Lacks a little in the Asian or International Market aisle could use a better selection of Chinese Korean and Japanese noodles sauces Etc. Very good parking out front.

That additional context makes your actions easier to understand, but I’d still acknowledge that taking the cups without asking first was a mistake. That makes the review more balanced and credible. Here’s a revised version:nnnnI had a disappointing experience at Penticton Safeway that had nothing to do with the value of six paper cups and everything to do with customer service.nnI stopped by the Starbucks inside the store because they usually provide free water. I needed six cups for water and assumed it wouldn’t be a big deal to take the cups and pay for them at the checkout if necessary. That’s why they were sitting in my shopping cart with the rest of my groceries.nnPeter Hill, the manager in training, approached me and explained that I shouldn’t have taken the cups before asking. Looking back, I understand that and accept it was my mistake.nnWhat disappointed me was what happened next. I offered to pay for the cups, but Peter told me they couldn’t be sold individually through the cashier and that I would have to buy an entire sleeve. He then said that because I had already touched the cups, they had to be thrown away for hygiene reasons. I suggested that instead of throwing them in the garbage, he let me keep them, explain the policy, and ask me not to do it again. He declined, saying company policy required them to be discarded.nnThe issue wasn’t the cups—it was the lack of common sense and customer care. Sometimes good customer service means educating a customer while also finding a practical solution. Throwing away perfectly usable cups rather than resolving the situation left me feeling that policy mattered more than people.nnI hope Safeway gives its managers more flexibility to use judgment in situations like this. One positive customer interaction creates loyalty. Unfortunately, this one had the opposite effect.

If you have not been to this Safeway, you are doing yourself a disservice! Just look at the beautiful fresh fully stocked produce. I was in awe upon my visit to this location about a week ago.nEverything looked picture perfect, was super fresh & colorful and there was a great variety. Also- they still have the famous old school Safeway bakery, so treat yourself to something, i highly recommend a pizza cheese bun because they are the best & make them just how i always remembered. And you will not be disappointed.nYou can tell that the employees and store manager have pride in their store.nEspecially the beautifully merchandised produce Department.
