The deli department has finally improved. I update the rating from 1 star to 5! The ladies working there are happy and friendly now. She even reminded me to grab the drink, it’s important because you need to scan the drink in order to get the combo price.nThis Safeway is always clean and neat . Fruit is fresh. I’m happy with the quality of the products.
Busy location, cle, wellnstocked shelves, plenty variety of prepared foods served, nice coffee shop from Starbucks, lots of variations of baked goods, friend, knowledge, quick, staff. Lots of good produce, Gifts, nice variety of herbs all shopping in 1 location. Lots of open parking, close to liquor store, restaurants, doctor's office, BC blood labs, bottle depo, Gas station, pharmacy, bank, coffee shops , dollar stores every single thing in 1 complex. Definately recommend people shopping here
This is a smaller Safeway but it's always clean with fresh produce and baking. It has a great look and layout to it and its one of the nicer grocery stores in North Burnaby. Good prices and you I like that you get Scene points at Safeway now
This is consistently the worst Safeway, especially the fresh food area. 4 separate times I’ve come well before it closes, between 2pm-4pm they’re out of both fish and strips. Every time I’ve asked when more will be ready, they either say they’re not making any more or it’ll take 6-8 mins. Call me crazy, but if there’s a line up for meals, maybe make sure you’re replacing the food before it’s completely empty and not waiting on people to ask for more?? Produce here also seems to go back pretty quick. I’ll be looking for a new grocery store at this point
The fruit at this safeway is always so disappointing. They charge whole foods prices but the quality is just so terrible. Mold on the berries always, apples taste really stale and grainy, bananas are never ever ripe or over ripe. I really hate going to this safeway for anything but I have no choice because it's the closest grocery store to us.nIve also shopped at the safeway on vine st in kitsilano and the fruit is always well kept. I really hope the grocery manager checks the fruit quality and stops selling moldy fruit for double the price In summer!
