Market Ribbon Burnaby is a bright and busy Asian grocery store with a strong Korean focus. You’ll find a wide range of fresh produce, meats, seafood, and plenty of imported snacks, sauces, and noodles. The ready-to-eat section is handy if you want something quick, and prices on some items are competitive compared to other specialty markets. On the downside, the aisles can feel a bit tight when it’s crowded, and parking in the area isn’t always easy. Some products are pricier than mainstream supermarkets, but the variety makes up for it if you’re looking for authentic ingredients.
Market Ribbon Burnaby is a solid spot if you're into Korean groceries and ready-made meals. Their kimchi selection is impressive — from classic cabbage to white and radish varieties — and the fried chicken packs a punch, especially the sweet & spicy Dakgangjeong. Prices are fair for specialty items, and the store layout is clean and easy to navigate.nThat said, it’s not a huge space, so it can feel cramped during peak hours. Some items run out quickly, especially popular side dishes, and restocking isn’t always consistent. Staff are friendly but service can be hit-or-miss depending on how busy it is.nIf you’re nearby and craving Korean staples or a quick meal, it’s definitely worth a stop — just don’t expect a full supermarket experience.
Came here for sesame seeds in smaller quantities. Also had their Korean sushi kimbap for lunch. Lots of variety and some veggies like cabbage cut in half for small household. Come often for ambrosia apple, cheap and sweet. Also tried wiener bun pastry which was quite delicious. Came again for sesame seeds, clam meat, pizza bun, dried mangoes, ribbon cake. Everything delicious but ribbon cake tough
I am so happy I found this store! It has very fresh produce at reasonable prices and all things Korean! There’s frozen seafood and meats, a wide variety of spices and noodles. I even saw Korean face masks which I will get next time for $1 each. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I could see people of all cultures shopping here once in awhile when I’ve gone. What I really like is how clean the place is. Although there are often long line ups at the cashier, they move along pretty quickly. They also make Kimbap Korean sushi fresh each day for $5 a roll. You can’t beat that! Fresh and delicious! They make some other fresh made food as well. Overall I will be frequenting this market more regularly. I’ve found some items here that are waaaay more inexpensive than chain stores. Products may not be entirely comparable but still worth it. As an added bonus, there’s tons of free parking in the parking lot and street parking too.
My wife want to buy for me bean sprou Korean. It is really Totton all gone I called never answer before Assi market really like. All fresh all good after change really shit. This photo is 1 min after I posting seems like a 2 weeks bean sprout hopefully someone mistake but they never answer the phone.
