We were encouraged to check this place out. OMG...the produce, meats, oils and condiments. We got a really nice chicken @$16.00...a jar of hot chili oil/black beans..$5. Cool place!!
I noticed that the store’s freezer was set to 12°C, which is far above the recommended temperature for frozen foods. Frozen food should be stored at -18°C or lower to maintain both safety and quality. This is a concerning issue as it could potentially lead to foodborne illnesses or spoilage. I recommend that the store reviews their freezer temperature settings and ensures they comply with proper food safety regulations.
First time here, as a loyal T&T shopper. Wide selection of Korean food items; I appreciate the ready-to-eat section too. Pricer than T&T but there are things here you can’t get there as Hannam is a Korean supermarket. I was excited to see ef&b baked goods, but they tasted pretty stale and soggy. Disappointing. This is why I can’t give 5 stars — though it’s kind of on me for buying a clearance item lol. The “single use” chopsticks were surprisingly very high quality and I enjoyed that. Overall solid choice for Asian food!
They sell Bungoppang in red bean or custard. These are the fish shaped pastries with stuffing inside. Served hot. We got both flavors today, really good. If you get a combo of 3, it is slightly cheaper than buying individual ones, also they allow you to mix. So, you don’t have to get 3 red beans, but 2 red bean and 1 custard, if you wanted instead.
I like my shopping l experience at Hannam Supermarket. It's spacious organized and clean. You can get great deals on special items on sale. They have fresh produce and meat.There are many delicious types of kimchi.
