This PriceSmart Foods is located across from The City of Lougheed Shopping Centre. It's relatively new, and is unique with different types of products from around the world with an emphasis on Asian products. I found it very neat and tidy they also have a cooking station where you can order BBQ, ramen, teppanyaki, sushi, and dim sum. There's also a pharmacy, located near the back.
PriceSmart…. Absolutely blown away.nHow terrific can a super market be?nWell PriceSmart breaks the scale!nFirstly, the ambience of this destination. Clean, well kept, stocked, peaceful, mindful, and calm. How many synonyms can I think of? This place was designed for people. Our Lougheed community. We Lougheedians yearned for a third place- that is as this marvel of a store, PriceSmart. The ready to eat selection is extensive, with phenomenal picks. From dim sum to sushi, you will find your filling. The aisles are spacious, there is room to wiggle. There is a variety of products ranging from western to Asian to explore, at reasonable prices with many deals to indulge in. This welcoming atmosphere has brought warmth to the cold that is this city. Wow. Blown away. Second picture: employee spotted. Attentive, caring, prompt, quick. Effective workplace. These floors don’t clean themselves, but they are darn clean. PriceSmart offers an unparalleled shopping experience. You will not regret your purchase here.
DO NOT order the matcha green tea bobba w coconut jelly, the taste was so bad it didn’t even taste like matcha. The taste was like an acidic sweetness it was actually disgusting
Wish I knew about this place sooner. Was a good grocery store.nnThis place is great for students. Pre-made bbq pork for $12 and lots of seating for studying.nnI was surprised by how clean this place is too. Can relax by the chairs with the TV by cafe.nnThe hong kong branded tea was quaint.
Just go to T&T. Expensive and inconvenient for those with mobility issues or with a stroller or anything on wheels. The main entrance has a set of stairs down to the store. They do have a mini lift but requires an employee to operate it. You have to flag someone down, wait for them to get someone with the keys, operate basically half a level, and then you're on with your day. Leaving is the same. There were employees who saw I had a stroller and trying to figure out how to get down the flight of stairs, no one came to me to offer help and I didn't know who to ask. Extremely inconvenient and waste of time waiting unless you go in and out from the parking lot, then there are no stairs.nnFood is relatively expensive, even more than T&T. They have a wide selection of ready to eat sushi and hot prepped meals but you can clearly tell they have been sitting there all day untouched. The food is mediocre, T&T does it better.nnSave on foods is clearly trying to branch out into the Asian market with Price Smart to be competitive with T&T, but it's not anywhere close.nnThe only bonus is that they do price match flyers, although this has been a hit or a miss depending on the store employee/manager.
