Royal Tandoor Restaurant

I ordered take out for this location. They are pretty quick and probably was less than 20 minutes to pick up. I ordered plain Naan and lamb Rogan Josh. The Naan was delicious and tasted great by itself. 3 large pieces for $3 was well worth it. The lamb was piping hot and very flavourful. The sauce complemented the rice well. The lamb wasn't as tender as I would like it to be but it could gave been based on the cut too.

My family had been ordering take out here since the pandemic started. The quality of food was on and off. It can really be good on occasions and also bad. But the good usually outweighs the cons. I was extremely disappointed with the food quality today. We ordered bhindi masala, aloo gobi, veggie vindaloo, veggie khorma and butter chicken. It tasted funny, old and over cooked. The okra /ladyfingers was extremely salty and spicy when we told them very, very mild. I wish we dined in and we probably would have received better food and given us fresh food. It looked like leftovers. All the veggies were disintegrating. I kid you not. We usually do not have leftovers but today there were plenty of it. I would think twice in ordering food here again after this unfortunate experience. The quality just went downhill. The price doesn’t justify the flavours. Wasted $$ Check out the photos.

I love everything about this location food is always fresh and hot. The staff is friendly and helpful. Never had an issue it's always been good and I've ordered from this particular location at least 10 times. Samosas are the best in town. You also have to try the stuffed Naan.Food: 5/5

This is THE place for Indian cuisine. Fantastic food , decent price and large portions. The chicken pakora is to die for fresh big pieces. Butter chicken Curry lamb And Curry goat all excellent dishes . Recommend them strongly. Edit: unfortunately November 17th 2022 I had a completely different experience as the Owner was Not there and my food was terrible worthy of maybe 1 . walked out won't be back ‍. Very apparent that the people that left negative reviews had this other guy cooking their meals .

I ordered chicken Karachi and they gave me butter chicken. It was too late by the time I noticed and I couldn't drive back to return it. The butter chicken was blant and too sweet it tastes as if the sauce was made days ago and frozen. On top of that they initially only put 1 bread while I paid for 3. However they did give me the remaining 2 breads Upton request while I was at the restaurant. Would not recommend this place to anyone else nor would I ever eat here again.

I would give no stars if I could. I ordered mild food and they made my food super spicy. Once I told them it was too spicy they told me that it surely wasn’t and continued to argue with me. I paid $82 for what was the worst Indian food I have had in Victoria. What made it worse was the bad attitude the staff had towards me. I won’t be coming back and I advise you to beware of this Indian joint because of the poor quality of food and the attitude of the staff.

Me and my friend, First we visited a different restaurant. Even after saying spicy, the food was bland and not tasty. We came out of that restaurant. Then we decided to go to Royal tandoor. Order chicken tikka masala and Chicken tikka masala was amazing. We wanted medium hot spice and it was really good. We were missing that real Indian food but this restaurant made us satisfied by their food. Perfect for Indian food. I even like rice pudding. Along with cook, we would like to thank TU server for being so sweet and amazing. Overall experience was really good. I would definitely recommend it.

We recently ordered takeout from here and it blew us away. Tasty, beautifully cooked, well portioned. We will happily be making this a regular spot!

Positive: clean, easy to find, free parking, spacious interior, fast service, priced inexpensive, vegetarian and dessert selection available. Neg: buffet was limited compared to others. Food for thought: great for family setting, butter chicken was good, naan could be made as requested to make it crispy.

I ordered stuffed naan aloo and onion with pickle and butter on doordash but instead i got plain kulcha that is half-burnt. Didn’t expected that. It was my first time ordering from this restaurant.
