The Tikka Bar

The butter chicken bowl is extremely disappointing. The bowl is 90% rice, with 3 small chunks of chicken. The sauce tastes like canned alphabet pasta with barely any flavour or spice. It would be a 2 star if the portioning was worth $15. Even the rice was disappointing, and watery. Two big thumbs down.

Complete scam being run in the name of a restaurant. We ordered paneer and chicken tikka roll as well as chicken strips with masala fries. We didn’t get chicken strips but dried out supposedly chicken pakora/fritters with no chicken and no flavour. Masala fries were the same dried with absolutely no seasoning. Chicken and paneer rolls had barely any chicken or paneer. I almost never write reviews but I think such enemies of flavour deserve a look.

Had the Lamb vindaloo - the lamb was extremely tender and a very generous portion. Very friendly service! They also have a number of “rolls” on the menu for $7.99 which I want to check out. Butter chicken in a naan bread! Delicious!

Delicious,the spices in the dishes we had were aromatic and I would highly recommend the turmeric chicken tikka and the lamb jalfrezi. I only gave 4 stars because the naan was clearly an after thought. It really seemed like it was something bought at a local grocery store and not freshly made which was disappointing because the rest of the meal was amazing.

I just visited last day. The food was awesome.. the cheff namely here jatinder I think..he is very charming person.he suggested me..according to my taste..my experience was so good

Great food a bit pricey. My take out meal was $50.00 this is what I recieved. See pic. The food was flavorful the chicken was amazing. I would skip the lamb the next time. Will go back to try other items.

Wonderful experience!!! This is a hidden gem in Victoria. I read the other reviews and I have to disagree. No disposable plates or utensils when eating in. Great quality and super tasty. Very good service!

Ordered chicken biryani and rice pudding on Skip the dishes. They took one hour to make the order and on top of it the chicken biryani hardly has any chicken in it. $17 for just rice and a small chicken piece is such a scam. Rice pudding tastes like cereal, just cooked rice in plain milk. No sweetness and no taste whatsoever. I would never order Indian food from here ever.

Absolutely delicious food! Give it a shot if you are in the area. The owner and his wife are wonderful too.
