Namaste Indian Cuisine

Chose this restaurant as an Uber eats recommendation. I enjoy takeout Indian food wherever I go. Tried a variety of items and nothing was extraordinary. The namaste special kebab platter was probably the most decent tasting items with the green chutney actually being the most flavorful thing in the whole order. The butter naans were nice in texture but were completely flavorless, the papadum was burnt, the ras malai was standard, but the main Murgh Makhanwala butter chicken tasted like a simple tomato soup with chicken pieces added, there were absolutely no Indian flavours/seasonings detectable in the dish, which I found very odd.

Couldn't ask for better food. Simply fantastic, and in my opinion that's the most important aspect of a restaurant. That said, the spice levels seem toned down for a western palette. You can probably order something at a spicier level here than you would usually. The service was prompt and polite. For me I found it maybe even too prompt and frequent of check-ins for a quiet afternoon, but well-intentioned and friendly. The atmosphere was nice and grounded. I love a private booth, and this place is set up with a bunch of them. The music was relaxing. Nothing felt put on or over the top, it's just an nice place to enjoy a delicious meal.

One of the best butter chicken, so creamy and the chicken was well cooked and tender. Definitely would come back here when I’m in Victoria.

I am a huge fan of Indian food and Namaste Indian Cuisine did not disappoint. The dishes were beautifully presented and the flavors were exceptional. I especially loved the chicken tikka masala and the aloo gobi. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the restaurant has a great ambiance. I will definitely be back!

Ordered takeout through online system. Food was delicious and very good quality. One note of caution, I specified "mild" on my online form and of course these things are all relative and yes, I am a white person haha! But if you are sensitive to spice heat just be aware that the mild level is really more on the edge of medium. Update: have ordered 2 more vegetarian dishes since, and have exactly the same thing to say! Quality of food is extremely high, and "mild" level of spice was the same, on the edge of medium and caused a little burning in my mouth. Probably people who are really sensitive to heat normally steer clear of Indian food anyway haha.

Namaste Indian Cuisine is a fantastic spot for a delicious Indian meal. The service is excellent and the food is always fresh and flavorful. I particularly enjoyed the samosas and the butter chicken. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Indian food in a relaxed atmosphere.
