We had family dinner at this resto, 4 of us, and wowww the food were spot on. So delicious we finished everything served on the plates... The service, too, was good... I would recommend those who are looking for Indian Food in Victoria, you should come to this place.. If I ever come again to Victoria, this will be my to go list .
Flavour was excellent. Had the kadai paneer. Lots of spices, onions, and peppers. The spinach paneer was also excellent. Lots of fillings. Shrimp pakoras had a nice light batter that didn’t overwhelm. Not a big serving. Mango lassi was amazing! One of the best I’ve had. Cucumber salad was good- big chunks of vegetables. Service was average. Vax passport not checked and server didn’t seem knowledgeable about the menu. Also really enjoyed listening to the Indian music Still worth of 5/5 despite the mediocre service.
I am a professional food critic and co-creator of the Discover Surrey Spice Trail, and I believe this is the best Indian food in Victoria. Our samosa chaat was flavourful, the chai was nice, and the mango fish was a crowd pleaser. Try the chili chicken and order it dry and hot for a true culinary experience.
Been here 4 times now, never a fail thing we ordered! So good! My new favourite Indian food in Victoria now. Gonna come back and try more stuff!
The two of us went here for dinner on January 21, 2022. We had an appy, a dinner, naan bread and mulligatawny soup. It was all delicious. The soup was exceptional!! The waiter was very nice and attentive. We will go back again to try another dish and I would recommend this place for sure!!
Nice cosy Indian restaurant , walking distance from Victoria Chinatown at fisgard road. We got a take out of chicken biryani ,veg curry and naan. Veg curry and naan both were fresh and delicious. The biryani was mild and tasty but more of a pulao than biryani. Nevertheless food quality was good and food was good
I had the palak paneer, jasmine rice, and an order of roti. The cheese is homemade and has a nice freshness to it. Indoor seating as well as a bar. They do takeout and UberEats as well. Very nice staff and a great option if you’re craving Indian food.
I had a good experience at Indian Aroma. I ordered the lunch special with Chana Masala and Butter Chicken. I had very high expectations coming in, and yes the food was good, but the service was a little slow and the chicken was dry. Nice presentation, fair price, and friendly staff, but with that said, I would still prefer going to another Indian buffet in town.
Vegetarian Dinner @ Indian Aroma: After the starter gobi garlic and soup tomato, I was excited about the main course laacha Paraatha, dhal tadka and green peas pulao. But my excitement fizzled out after tasting the main course. Go for: Gobi garlic cauliflower starter - tasty with right spices added to the dish 5/5 Tomato Soup - good portion of soup that was tangy, adjusting the salt and pepper it tasted good 5/5 Laacha Paraatha - flaky and layered flat bread cooked to perfection 5/5 Don’t try: Dhal Tadka - done hastily, it was neither spicy nor had any taste. Doesn’t qualify as a food to be on the table 1/5 Green peas pulao - Dry 2/5 Out of 5 things I ordered only 3 were good, so 3/5. Might visit again to try non vegetarian dishes.
Incredible quality and friendly vibes. I feel bad I haven’t come in sooner. My wife and I chose to grab lunch here during her lunch break she works across the street. I was never drawn to the exterior storefront ambience, but I was so wrong. What we experienced was the friendliest service, authentic and genuine food made with care. My wife had the butter chicken and naan and she said it was the best she’s ever had. Pakoras were perfectly fried and delicious. Naan was perfection. I got a dish with chickpeas and paired it with the basil naan. It was so good. I feel bad for having spent this long to try them. Highly recommend it. Let’s support this place!
