We went at the beginning of the year and was pleasantly surprised that they had osechi, a traditional Japanese new year dish. This told me that this place is authentic for sure. The presentation and taste of all the dishes were fresh and on point. There was lots of menu choices and on top of that they have a board of special menu items that change regularly. I gave it 5 stars for the food. There are a few annoying things as a first time customer. This place is hard to find, limited parking in front of the restaurant, limited street lights at night and dangerous to get across if you're parked across from it, and some servers with heavier accents were difficult to understand. All in all the experience was good and I would go again. It's a little bit on the pricier side but we'll worth it.

Real Japanese owned restaurant. Owner and staff have high quality service mind and their food are always fresh. Most of sushi restaurants are using the same fish supplied by a couple of distributors. Literally same fish in different restaurants. Fresh or not could be depending on how well they keep fish and deal with it. So you will taste and see different levels with different restaurants. A bit pricier than others, but worth. I can feel they have been trying to keep them up, not dealing with any other thing.

best place to eat is real japanese sushi not imitation other asian fake cheap sushi there menu lunch is very good love it recommend to those love sushi

Went here on a quiet Wednesday night and the meal was amazing. Their udon soy soup was the most delicious bowl of broth I've had in Calgary. Sear salmon toro was absolutely delicious. You pay an extra $1-3 for each dish but the quality absolutely makes up for it. The rolls are also 1.5x bigger than your average rolls. Definitely coming back again!
