Riverhouse on the Deschutes

Very attentive staff and comfortable rooms. The heating system leaves a bit to be desired in some rooms though (I'm in a party of 5 different rooms). The river running through the property is beautiful and the restaurant, bar and patio near it make for a great places to lounge and unwind. The bar and the high-ceiling area of the restaurant are beautiful like plenty of other hotels' but their a special vibe in the space that makes you want to linger. The jazz concert series at hotel are wonderful too and it attracts great mature, arts-loving crowd. It also features local student ensembles that open the show for the world class professional artists featured each weekend if and when the performances are running.

After out last reservation was lost, the assistant manager gifted me a complimentary room. When we booked it, it was to beautiful fireplace suite on the Riverside. As we relaxed in our room we were shocked by a knock on the door, it was complimentary snacks and beverages gifted to the room. They we're absolutely wonderful and we very much enjoyed and appreciated our stay and look forward to coming back again.

Pretty spacious rooms. Not cleaned very well though. There were used q-tips and wipes in the metal tin on the counter in the bathroom. 🤢🤢 And hairs in the shower. Horrible, thin, rough towels. 👎👎 Your only saving grace is the big pool & hot tub. Cruddy towels in the pool area too though. The hotel Looks very nice on the outside though. Has that rustic log cabin look going on. Work on your cleanliness and invest in quality towels.

Visiting Smith Rock and Seeking out the Opal Springs(now that was an adventure), I was Blessed to stay @ the Riverhouse. Nice Rooms, Comfortable Bed, and Free Champagne! Restaurant wasn't too fancy, and having the River right off the Balcony added a perfect touch.

My hubby and I enjoyed celebrating our 20th anniversary here. The views are stunning and our room was very spacious. I would definitely come back for another visit. I did notice the restaurant was in desperate need of a good vacuuming, other than that - all was good.
