Crane Prairie Resort & RV Park

Owners of the resort are awesome . The store says it closes at 6 but sometimes they are there later and will let ya in. It was freezing at night but they kept us warm with good wood and decent prices. Store prices on everything were like normal and not extremely overpriced which was so nice and they always had hot coffee . Due to the weather just warming up there were a lot of gnats but thankfully no mosquitoes! The bathrooms were clean and the resort was so clean! Our boat rental was awesome we had such An amazing time and would go back again. If your into sunsets it’s perfectly captured over the water as well.

I stayed longer than anticipated because of the stunning natural beauty of Crane.nThe only small negative I can think of is that the general store could be better as far as food offerings and be priced.... Specifically, it could be more and healthier. Small example- I bought some honey, and it turned out to be a honey corn syrup mix. Another couple small examples- They had canned chili, but it was the absolute cheapest brand, they had egg sandwiches, but they were the frozen kind with Velveeta cheese. Lasty, I was looking for bug repellent, which is kind of essential at Crane, but they were out of it Note to owner: maybe take a field trip to Camp Sherman general store. It's definitely the gold standard to aspire to, though I realize they get way more traffic & and maybe a different demographic.nI guess the moral of the story is- just be sure to bring enough supplies. Definitely better than nothing in a pinch though!nOther than these small gripes, it's a lovely place..:

We had a wonderful 11 day camping trip and could have stayed longer!! The staff was friendly and very helpful! It was a clean and quiet campground with a beautiful background. The fishing was awesome and the staff was extremely helpful with tips and tricks! Make sure to get the bugs for bait!

Upper loop campsites are spectacular. They even hand rake them and they are well spaced. Lots of room and privacy. We loved it!nnThe mosquitoes were pretty intense the first week of August. That was the only bummer! Next time, I would bring an outdoor room tent and the problem would be solved. There is so much to do locally and our son caught 18 fish over 2 days of fishing off the bank!nnYou’ll feel like you stepped back in time visiting this resort. It’s wonderful.nnFor the hosts: I would gladly pay extra for wifi. Please offer this for guests. also laundry With cell coverage being absent, in the area, this is really a need.
