Lava Lake Campground

Not what it used to be. New people running the Lodge, unfortunately they need a lesson in customer service. Not The friendliest group of people. We purchased gas for our generator and some propane and used the dump station. The dump station was not in the best shape, the water faucet used for rinsing was spraying everywhere. We tried to tighten but it’s a repair issue for the owners not something with our hose. We were sprayed and soaked by this in a cold 34 degree morning. The fee is $8 which is more than most places with working equipment charge.

The owners are very nice but they could have more stock such as hygiene supplies. I needed something once and went there in desperation and found that they have no such thing. There also could be games there to buy.

I have been taking my two kids to Lava Lake for about eight years now. It has become a family tradition to spend a week fishing, hiking, swimming and enjoying each others company. This will be our ninth year and my daughter is going off to college this coming fall. I will always remember watching my kids grow up and our time spent together hear. I hope to continue this tradition for a long time, this place is magical, with its beautiful views, tasty fish and its boundless activities. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates the out doors and the beauty of the cascades!

The staff was very kind and helpful, they have a wide selection of all the things you forgot to bring, and an astounding assortment of tackle.

After getting back to my campsite I finally looked at the dozen eggs I had purchased at the Lava Lake store. I had paid $15.95 for one dozen, basic white eggs! Certainly, no excuse for inattention on my part. Absolutely no excuse for extortion and taking advantage of campers by this store! I am extremely disappointed as I have visited this store many times over the years and have always like it. $5 or $6 for this quality of eggs would have been a high price, but palatable. This price makes me feel ill and completely screwed over.
