Story

Re-Buy-Cycle Shop is a bicycle recycling and repair shop that specializes in used bikes and quality repairs & servicing in the Victoria and surrounding areas. We assemble quality bicycles and build bikes specific to your preferences, whether it’s a mountain, road, BMX, recumbent, or hybrid bike. If you have a vision or an idea that you would like to create, Re-Buy-Cycle Shop will try to make it a reality.
Our parts wholesaler is located in Vancouver, allowing us to receive orders quickly and give us a wide range of components, tools, and accessories with varying price ranges (depending on the quality preferred and the budget of each individual customer), which will provide an affordable solution, or at least another option to get you back on the road or trail as quickly as possible. With bike components being so expensive these days, people with older bikes are finding it far too costly to fix them (considering the dollar value of their bikes). We have a wide range of decent used parts for far less the cost of buying new.

All of us here at the shop understand the financial challenges that parents go through to raise a family. We all have to live within our budget which quite often affects the ability for parents to provide their children with other experiences they wish they could afford, and kids unfortunately can be deprived of the thrill of simply riding their own bicycle for the first time. Re-Buy-Cycle Shop is proud to introduce our new children’s bike exchange program. Any children’s bicycles (up to 18” wheels) will become part of our free bicycle exchange program which will allow ANY family to receive and up-size their child’s bike for no charge. Just bring in your child’s outgrown bicycle (of any sort) and we will exchange it for a more appropriate sized one for free. If you don’t have a bicycle to exchange the first time, we are more than happy to donate one to you, to get you started in the program!

Bicycles or bike components that are usable but not of any use to us, (heavy steel, rusted, etc.) are presently going to Bicycles for Humanity where they are being sent to Malawi Africa to be restored, reassembled, and redistributed to their community.
We’re already working with several metal recycling companies with the hopes of preventing ALL usable bikes and components from ending up in a metal grinder. We’re committed to supporting all communities and to educating riders that show ANY interest in wanting to learn how to repair or build their own bikes.
