RBC Royal Bank

Honestly ridiculous... horrible branch. Anything don't have a logical answer to, reply with "this is our policy". Try to ask further. They told me to call customer service... so. Exactly what does teller do here!? I am a RBC Client. But never coming back to this branch again...

The level of incompetence at this branch is atrocious. I set -up an account at an RBC downtown by dundas and Spadina, during the weekend. However I wasn't able to go there during the weekday to finalize everything. Came to this branch to get my access card, the teller and the management in the back, had no idea how to issue me a temporary card, and told me to go back downtown to get the job done. This branch hires fools, its better to go to another branch unless you like to talk to chimps.

It was my first time at this branch and I absolutely loved it! They were the only branch opened early in the area and I had a problem that needed to be resolved right away. Multiple staff memebers working at the time were more than happy to assist me. They efficiently and promptly resolved my issue. I also loved the way they knew most of the clients that were walking in and address them by their names. That is definitely a cherry on top for customer service!

I bank with RBC all my life, I do go to other banks but always consider RBC ahead of the rest. This is not the branch that usually go but I have been going there in the last 6 months for business banking needs and I think they need some work on training their staff and motivate them to the next level. There are 2 instances where they post the payment to the wrong account and once after she process the deposit she pass my deposit book back to me along with the print out receipt and stapler. So I need to staple the receipt to my own deposit book now? This is definitely the first time ever. And she is not a young inexperienced teller who doesn't know what to do. I will still need to go there for my business banking needs but I have to double check making sure every posting is correct and expect to self service a bit sometimes :( Especially the person who is giving me the worse customer service is called Sbahnaz who don't seem to be new but her action is horrible and it's people like that I hate to deal with. The manager came and backing up her own staff, of course, no wonder the branch is badly run, the manager is the same.

I usually do not go to this branch, but I decided to go there and ask a few questions regarding mortgage pre-approval and I clearly asked if this pre-approval would affect my credit score and the mortgage specialist said no as this is only pre-approval. Later on, when I checked my credit score I realized that because of this pre-approval my credit has dropped for 20 scores. If I’d known it would affect my credit score I would have not done that.
