RBC Royal Bank

Been to this bank once, made bill payments, deposits and opened a new account. Literally under 10 minutes. I just joined RBC about a year ago and i honestly love this location because they actually have staff that get things done fast, great customer service, and professional atmosphere. Sometimes people fall off, like the help desk area, or some tellars have an off day with attitude but honestly, we are human anyways. I respect the more days they perform to their best as opposed to singling out their flaws. Recommended!

Bad. All I had to do was pick up the card for my new account that I opened through the phone. When I came to pick it up they told me that they can't help me, because the people handling the account opening werent there. But everything was already done and activated so I didn't need those people. After trying a few times to tell them that my account was already activated they still weren't listening and kept telling me "how can we do it, when those workers aren't here". So I left and went to another branch which was also almost closed and only had tellers inside. One of those tellers actually helped me and got me my card in just a few minutes. So why couldn't the ones in this branch do the same?!? Just stupid

NEWCOMERS, STAY AWAY!!! I left RBC because of my very painful experience with this branch.. Its been 4 years, yet I still remember the experience with bitterness... Our money was locked in a non redeemable GIC for two years, the branch manager back then was very uncooperative and not a problem solver. We finally managed to get our money out but after so much agony. I was really offended by the manager and some of the staff members.. I moved all my funds to another bank. One extra thing: They offer you "free" services which you are already eligible for as a favour and say:" Because of the negative experience you've had today, we'd like to waive the banking fees for 6 months, offer you a free cheque book and a safety deposit box for free".... Only later, you find out, ALL NEWCOMERS are eligible for this offer... Newcomers especially Arabs!! Don't trust anybody at this branch simply because he speaks the language that you speak and he gives you that impression that he cares about you because he's from "back home"!! I don't want to mention employee names because its not fair to them. I'm so tempted to though!

Friendly bankers, but this is the slowest branch service I have ever seen. Nobody seems to care.

In 2014 I opened an account at this branch and despite the fact that I was newcomer they didn't provide me the free 6 months????. And they said I am not eligible for credit card!!! They didn't menstion about the security deposite to receive credit card. Now it 2 years without credit history because of them. It is so disappointing. This year 2017 , I opened new account at TD bank, I received the 6 months free account and credit card with 1000 limit without any security deposited.
