We stayed in this hotel for 3nights. We booked a suit for 4person. There was one double duvet for two person and an extra thin blanket in the cupboard. I asked kindly for an extra blanket for my children as they were cold. Every time I went they looked at me like I'm asking something mayor thing. I tried every single day asking for a blanket and ended up buying one at Walmart since no one bothered to help us out. I don't understand why it is so difficult in 2024 in Canada to give an extra blanket for a family. Especially we paid a lot for this suit.nThe room was outdated, the bed ,sofa was uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place and never coming back.
It was a great experience! The rooms were very convenient and functional for us as big family the service was very kind,and it was also very clean. We'll love to come again
Servise was nice and kind.nnBreakfast 4/5. It was good enough, but nothing special.nnIt is an old hotel, so it's good for its age. I suppose it's a bit high price because of that.nnRoom was clean. Every suite has an iron and hairdryer, microwave and kettle. Also, air conditioner was there, but it was a bit noisy, so we turned it off and opened our window while we were sleeping. Matrasses were not comfortable, but it's ok for one-two nights stay.nFYI, if your suite faces on the other side of the highway, it's absolutely OK regarding to the noise.nI suppose that highway sodę is noisy, so you couldn't sleep with open windows.
Do yourself a favour and avoid this hotel. It can compete to be one of the worst hotel in Quebec City in terms of service. No housekeeping and they don’t mention during booking. You have to take your own towels for change at reception and clean your own garbage when it’s full. Breakfast is a joke where they ran out of as basic thing as yogurt, muffin, brown bread at 8:30 am when breakfast is till 9:30. We have stayed at other Choice Hotel properties and you get what you pay for but this one is probably the worst without even the basic amenities promised. If you can’t provide breakfast please don’t provide false information during booking.
Got the room for free since a family member works for the company that owns Quality Suites and many other chains, and that's probably for the better, since I wouldn't have paid full price for a hotel that's literally right next to the highwaynnWent in, claimed the room and looked for the stairs, but there's only a single elevator; the stairs are reserved for the fire exit. So took the elevator, walked all the way to the opposite side of the hotel to my room, and promptly turned on the AC even though it was a cold and windy day outside, because the room was stifling hotnnThe room itself looks really nice and clean for a two stars unlike the hallway, which was smelly and littered with trash, but it's a bit lacking in the comfort department thanks to the too-firm bed and the generic gamer chair in the cornernnTurned on the TV to cover up the sound of the highway.. sports, new, news, sports, news, TVA.. well, so much for entertainment, it really is just a place to sleep. Went outside to do stuff and came back late in the evening. Tried to sleep, but the neighbor was loudly playing music through the paper thin walls, and kids were running and screaming in the hallway. Around midnight I called the reception desk to complain about the noise, but nobody picked up, so I sucked it up and watched cartoons until it finally quieted down enough to sleep in the hard bednnGot up in the morning and went to the breakfast area after a much needed coffee, and that's where all of the quality is; easily the best breakfast options I've ever seen in a hotel. Cereals, grains, muffins, toast, bagels, eggs, sausages, waffles, fruits, cheese, coffee, tea.. it just has it all, and plenty of everything, with staff working in the back to keep it constantly stocked upnnSo overall, this Quality Suites is very hit or miss. The rooms look nice but aren't comfortable, the hallways are dirty and poorly maintained the trash that was littering it was still there when I left a full day later, there's absolutely no standards when it comes to noise and some design choices are just unorthodox, but the breakfast area alone makes up for enough of it that you eventually leave on a good note, even after a pretty average experience
