Hôtel Universel Québec Sainte-Foy

An outdated 80s hotel. They renovated it, but it was poorly done. The bathroom was tiny. There was an open gap between the tiles and bathtub no grout or caulking. Wallpaper was peeling off. We saw stains on a wall as if someone spilled tomato sauce. Our room had exposed junction boxes and wires on the walls. The furniture was old and damaged. The TV was huge, but without HD signal, so what's the point? The mini fridge, air conditioning and overall hotel were really noisy. I don't know how one could sleep there without ear plugs. The employees at the front desk were great, but they deserve a better hotel.

Room was spacious and newly reennovated and clean. They allowed us to check in early and staff seems nice. We didn't use the pool /spa but it looks really nice and warm.nnSo why 3 stars? The bathroom oddly feels like a prison cell with the loud metal door, flickering single light fixture, and mirror nailed on with a single hook. House keeping didn't come during our stay. Good hotel but not great.

Smallest over crouder pools ever. Very dirty., rooms are same as a $50 motel. Just a dirty place and they obviously had a pro take the pictures and make them better. $150 and night plus an extra $100 deposit. This place should be your last resort for a place to stay.

Great hotel, loved the spa and pool, there's a Boston pizza in the hotel that is open late, and even a bar that plays live music. The room and hallway was a little outdated and there was an electrical issue on one side of our room but overall it's a great place. And pretty much close to everywhere we wanted to go while in Quebec .

Some rooms are renovated but ours was not. Despite that, it was clean and spacious. The staff was bilingual and friendly. The location was excellent. Updates are more than overdue but overall we had a great stay.
