Grand Times Hotel - Québec

Stayed with the family for 3 nights at this hotel. Liked the fact that there was plenty of parking and that it was close to old Quebec. Lobby had a nice aesthetic. The staff at the reception desk were really polite and helpful. I also liked that there is a laundry and dryer available. We were pretty disappointed with the room however as it was very dark, even with the lights on and windows open, I still needed a flashlight to look into the shelf with the coffee machine. The coffee machine itself was pretty dirty with dust or scale where you fill the water. The beds were comfortable though. The pool was pretty quaint but a bit cold. We also had one day where we didn't get a room refresh. All in all a mixed bag of experiences for this hotel.

Design of this hotel is too weird, too much dark, very thick cement walls, ugly look, also with all of that cement and walls the WiFi was dead. I reported dead WiFi twice to front desk but they couldn't do anything.nnIt's very large hotel, 8 floor. Probably around 100 room. With this large capacity, it has only two trolly!! This was shocking! At check-out, everyone had to carry their own luggage by hand. It's very tough for us when our trip was for 3-week away from home with lots of luggage. Front desk staff was all young, like university students. I wanted more mature and adult to handle those issues, not none was there. Hotel administration seemed hired students to cut operation costs.nnAlso, at time of check-out the ice machines both on 4th floor and ground were labeled out of service. Front desk told me they were out and not sure when to be fixed. Once I did the check-out, I found them working. I felt there was some dishonesty, like they turn it off for check-out time so others can't use it.nnWe didn't enjoy at this hotel with all these issues. I don't recommend others to book at this place. AVOID THIS HOTEL.

We stayed 2 nights Monday and Thursday. July 20 and 24, 2026. So 2 rooms. Both had good beds but you need new coffee makers and something for tea. Also lobby should have free hot water tea, coffee cream and milk. The room cost a lot so offering free breakfast, tea coffee and hot chocolate is not a big ask. We stayed at a hotel in new Brunswick and they offered all of the above . It was almost the same price and a nice treat.

Clean, comfortable hotel with a great location near Galeries de la Capitale. We stayed here while attending an event at Centre Vidéotron and found it very convenient. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and check-in was easy.nnThe downside was that the rooms are quite dark. Great if you want to sleep in late, but not ideal if you prefer a brighter room. Unfortunately, the pool was also closed during our stay, which was disappointing since we enjoy choosing hotels with pools for family trips.nnOverall, we had a good stay !

Lights flickered in our room and housekeeping came even though we didn’t ask, they threw away my wife’s brand new products and cake box and ring is missing as well. No microwave , 12$ for breakfast, uncomfortable decorative pillows and overall overpriced. Laundry is 10$ cash only but no ATM in the hotel? This happened the day before we checked out and we inquired at the front desk they did listen but they won’t pick up the phone when called from the number on Google Maps. We did call early though so it might be on us 9 AM. The water was good but the overall decoration is tacky fake luxury
