Been here numerous times before covid19, take-outs during lockdown and now back in person! Small shop that offers fresh tasty sushi & sashimi! Huge menu selections for lunch & dinner!! Very reasonably priced for Japanese cuisine. Parking is hassle free! Love this place.
Haven't dine in since pandemic and just craving for sushi so we went today we dined there since they started. We stood there for a few minutes no one greet us no servers at all and a guy at the sushi bar looked at us then head down continue what he was doing. Then another group came in and finally a guy we believe probably the Manager or owner showed up and asked the later group how many they have when we were there first. I mean if you see a bunch of people waiting you should have asked who came in first, truly the later group jumped the queue and lucky there are a few empty tables otherwise we would have started a fight tonight. These people don't know how to run a business even though the guy at the sushi bar is not a server but at least tell the owner or Manager there are customers waiting to be served.
I come three times, no matter lunch and dinner they can keep the quality and delicious. Great food! Great price!
THERE WAS PLASTIC WRAP IN MY SUSHI and who leaves the shrimp shell on? Plastic wrap was on my sushi and presents a choking hazard and should not be left on in tempura and inside the rolls I ordered. The quality of this restaurant has gone down, there was also shrimp shell in every roll I ordered and in the tempura. It takes no effort to remove the shrimp shell. Please don’t waste your money at this restaurant.
The price here is amazing and the sushi is fine. You get what you paid for. If you want to save some money and enjoy sushi go here but you want quality sushi better go somewhere not as budget friendly
Nice find for a place close by on the northeast Markham area!! Fish was fresh and not frozen. Soft to the bite and nice tender texture. Rolls were tasty and the filling to rice ratio was great. Presentation was nice for takeout and will definitely come back. So happy there’s a bunch of great sushi places in the area now. Follow me as I post all my pics on my new IG @andrewt168
Project Sushi is one of the newest opening Japanese restaurant in Markham. We were there on a Sat night at 8pm and surprisingly it is relatively empty. We got seated quickly with the menu. When we took a look, the price is quite reasonable. We ordered 2 seafood udon soup, 2 salmon tataki, two orders of botan ebi, one medium sashimi and sushi platter. Guess what, the bill included tax with 10% VIP discount came out to be $100. Wow! The size and quality of botan ebi is so memorable, a wow factor! Fresh and big size, definitely worth $8 for 3 pieces. The seafood udon soup has a whole grilled salmon teriyaki, 3 prawn, fish cakes and 2 mussels. It is no doubt that the seafood quality is better than most of the other Japanese restaurant. The medium platter is $45, with 65 pieces. Only one draw back is I prefer they have a few more pieces of sashimi instead of the rolls. Only my preference because I like sashimi more than rolls. This is a must try Japanese restaurant in Markham.
Order 30 pieces sashimi, portion is good and food is fresh, tasty. Aslo tried BBQ eel fried rice, feel a bit disappointed because hardly find any eel in the rice, mostly vegetable and rice only.
The first time I got a party tray it was decent so I got another party tray today and it was very upsetting! The portion size of the sushi has significantly decreased and it extremely dishonest and insulting to the patrons. The food wasn't even enough and I had to cook udon on the side to be full. I will never order anything from them again and I would tell friends to not come here either. I have attached a picture where the sushi is as thick as the width of my finger if not smaller!
Massive menu of sushi rolls I have ever seen reasonably priced. The design of the restaurant really feels like something staright out of Japan. The service is great as well and I will definately be returning.
