Sushi Sushi

Great service and tasty food. My favourites are the salmon sashimi and grilled fish. The rolls are a bit heavy on rice but they are still very good. We got the special for four and it was a huge amount of food. Everyone was stuffed. The server is very welcoming and the place is clean.

TOO MUCH RICE in rolls!! I ordered 4 veggie rolls avocado, spicy avocado, egg, bean curd - all of them had wayyy too much rice stuffed inside and that is all I could taste. Don't assume that their prices are cheap, because their rolls are slimmer than most places. Also, their soy sauce seems to be a full sodium one because I could barely dip it in without having my mouth go all salty. Wouldn't recommend. Attaching pics.

Ordered the deluxe 106 piece party tray and half the set was not fish and filled with cheap fillers crab meat, egg, cucumber, yellow radish. Would not recommend and not come back. There are other better options close by. Only reason I gave them 2 star is bc staff was nice and they gave a 10% cash discount.

Staff were friendly. Service was fast - we were impressed how quickly our food came. We ordered lunch combos and shrimp tempura appetizer. The tempura was a bit too much batter for our liking but it wasnt overly dense tasting. Salmon sashimi tasted fresh. The california roll was small but not too much rice. Portion size was appropriate for pricing cheaper and smaller portion size. If youre looking for a quick lunch, come here!

It’s a good place for the price. Seeing the criticism of lots of rice on rolls lowered my expectations, but their Philadelphia rolls are really good. There wasn’t many people in the restaurant, so support this local business!

The sashimi was fresh, but the rolls needed a bit more variety. It was most just a lot rice, cucumber and avocado. The pork chop and rice is great. Lots of veggies and pork. I had takeout but service was nice.

I'm surprised that this place gets so many great reviews. We've tried it twice since it's so close to our home but were sorely dissatisfied both times. Except for the California Rolls that our children ate, we were very disappointed. There was too much rice on each rolls and the rolls were rolled somewhat loosely. They fell apart in our chopsticks. In addition, there wasn't even a dab of wasabi underneath the fish on any of our sushi. We ended up getting sushi from another place the day after to fulfill our cravings. We will not be ordering food from there again.

I am a regular customer here for 2 years. Tips has always been optional and we can choose how much to give as it should be. However, this has changed since I went there last week for lunch. When I went to the cashier counter to pay by credit card, the staff told me that tips was included, but WITHOUT informing me how much or showing me the receipt. Because I was in a hurry to go back to work, I just paid the bill without forgetting to ask, but I somehow managed to ask after I paid, then the staff said "it is 15%". I am totally appalled by how this restaurant would force 15% tips on customers AND without proactively telling them that that was the amount, this act constitutes unethical business practice and if they are doing this to drive away a regular customer, then they have succeeded. I will never return again.

Very attentive service and food is good quality for the price. The maki rolls that come with the platter are fairly basic. Good sampler but next time we'll likely order separate individual rolls.

Small local Markham restaurant. Fresh sashimi, typical sushi rolls i.e. California rolls, black dragon, etc., includes teppanyaki dishes. Good prices, offers discounts on cash take out. Small and quiet dining area.Food: 4/5
