Plato's Closet® is all about being fashion savvy and shopping smart. We specialize in gently used clothes and accessories for teen and twenty something girls and guys. All stores are independently owned franchises.

At Plato's Closet® you'll find a huge selection of trendy, designer styles as well as those every day basics you can't live without - all at up to 70% off mall retail prices!

Our stores buy and sell girls sizes 0/1 to 18/20 and guys size 28 to 38 waist. The gently used clothing and accessories that we buy are: top-name brands, cool, hip, trendy, and clean. Typically we buy items that have been in the retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months.

Our process is quick and easy:

1. Go through your overflowing closet

The layout of this store has never made sense to me. The other Plato's locations in Edmonton have everything sorted by item type but this location seems to have everything kind of spread out throughout the store which is super annoying. Their prices also seem higher than other locations for things that aren't in as good condition.nThey also always quote long wait times for selling because the girls just stand around taking to each other. Today I saw my clothes ready to be processed and the girl adding them to the system stopped multiple times to tell her friend/coworker a story. They probably could've been processed in about 15 minutes but it took closer to 40. They also decided not to take 2 of the items that had been set aside and they crumpled them up and shoved them back in my bag.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!nHonestly don't bother with attempting to take your items to this location. They always advertise indicating that they are looking for X items. Took an entire bag of lululemon clothing here easily 50+ items and they took NOTHING!!!!! Not 1 single item. When I inquired about this they advised that they do NOT accept the following lululemon items: No Crops, no patterns, and nothing over 2 months old!!!! Please update your looking for items to include this information so people don't waste their time, also very disappointed that you bring your items in all nicely folded and when you get them back they are just in a big pile. Yet when you look at the racks there is such worn, pilled, honestly disgusting items, that I would just throw in the garbage!!!! They will take a $2 Shein items over quality items. Previously I took an entire bag of men's clothing all almost new and they took 2 items. Certainly not worth the time/effort.
i always shop here when they have deals or whenever i need clothes, but i’ve found out of all the plato’s in edmonton this one is absolutely the worst. the service is terrible, they are always talking to each other and never doing their job. they never have any good clothes here either, i went one week and went back almost 2 weeks later and i saw the same exact clothes i was looking at before. i also went a couple days ago to take some clothes in at 4:30pm, i had to wait till almost 6pm to get them back and i literally saw her go through them, she took one look and was like nope. some of those items were garage shirts, lululemon capris, garage shorts, levi and american eagle jeans which none they took. meanwhile i see ripped shirts, broken zippers on pants and shein items… here’s what they paid me after i waited almost 2 hrs to get my stuff. $3.00 per item i could get more on facebook marketplace. not worth my time or even the money

I was super disappointed with my experience today. I came to pick up my buy and I kid you not this was the worst fold job I’ve ever seen. The staff had a hard time handing my bags to me because there was hardly any room to grab onto the handles, and some of my clothes had even fell out because they weren’t folded correctly so the one staff had to ask the other if those pieces of clothing were mine. They looked embarrassed as they should be but I didn’t get one apology. My friend and I went to my car and we had to refold everything. Like where is the care in customer service here?
