We ordered this Vietnamese food today. Overall taste was Ok. Soup was very bland in taste and chicken had raw smell. Thai style fish stir fry was good.
I ordered the chicken with black bean sauce on vermicelli. I decided to try something different from my usual crispy chicken on vermicelli. And it was so good! This place has more options than your typical Vietnamese restaurant. The service is very nice too. My husband and I are already planning our next visit. Next time I go, I'm going to try the chicken curry vermicelli soup.
We were craving pho, so we took a chance on Pho Lam this week, and ordered dinner from them. We ordered a large rare beef Pho soup, a chicken pad thai and two fried pork spring rolls. The food was very tasty, fresh and well prepared. It was also reasonably priced, as well. I would recommend Pho Lam to anyone interested. Here are a few pics of the food we got:
The best food I've had in a long time. I was really hungry last night and wanted a diff place and not fast food. They were open i think til 1am and its not just take out so we went around 1030ish. Very friendly, easy to order, and didnt take long. Im thinkin of goin back as I type this.
What a great little family run joint. The chicken and pork chop on rice was the bomb.com, chicken was thick and juicy, not dry and pounded out to oblivion and the pork was so nice and bbqed, reminiscent of char siu. Highly recommend this place on that alone. Lots of great choices and prices are pretty good too.
Order “Hue-style vemicelli in spicy soup” bun bo Hue today and get the junk meat portion as in photo. It’s supposed to be sliced beef, not junk beef. These junks seem like the left over meats from others. I have to throw them into the garbage due to worrying about health issue. This is the worst place that I have seen. I will not be back.
Pho is excellent. Just the atmosphere is little too quiet. Some light music to evade the sound of slurping pho from around the other tables would make it a 5 stars review. In general the soup liquid is right on the money. I would go back every time visiting Mississauga...... Continue.... On my third trip coming back this time pho was not so good. The meat in the bowl was all broken into small pieces. I used to work at the restaurant way back my boss used to throw away all that crumbs into the pot to make beef stew . Not to serve customers with all that. Looks bad. Anyway the pho quality is still tasty and good if you dont see those crumbs. If this happens again I still eat my Pho but this time I will wear my sunglasses so I don't have to look at the crumbs meat . Still have my 4 stars ..... Continue...... I have 2 weeks off during Christmas and new year I intend to revisit Square One and of course Pho Lam. That tells you about how I am addicted to Pho Lam. Like I wrote earlier the soup is right on the money and the bowl is large enough to satisfy my hunger after walking much in square one. So I am hoping this time Pho Lam will earn my full 5 stars. However here is a hint, if a customer eating soup wearing sunglasses that's meant Pho lam has not improved and as a result it will not be getting my 5 stars. NOT YET!!!. will see..... To be continued.... Season Greetings to all my readers! I hope ya all have a wonderful holidays. I myself have had a blast over this holidays. On boxing day, I had a chance to revisit Pho Lam after 5 hours hunting at the nearby malls. I have to tell you this: "my bowl of pho was excellent". The picture today I am included is speaking for itself. Everything was perfect as far as services and quality are concerned. That being said I am here to deliver 2 news one good and one is bad. Dont get me wrong, today Pho Lam restaurant will get my 5 stars...period . That is the good news. The bad news is that after today's I will have nothing to write about Pho Lam and I don't plan to visit Pho Lam in the near future. There are other Pho restaurants that need my HONEST reviews so I can at least help the owners to correct it. Good bye and Bonaparte!
My new favorite Pho! Quality to price and size is the best in the area! Large bowl costs the same as Med in many Pho's around $10 plus is really 2x LARGER! The taste is incredible!
Great place to get some pork bone soup and other Vietnamese dishes! Staff are friendly and service is prompt. I come here regularly and never had incidents of any kind.
One of the older Phos in the heart of old Mississauga. It's in an old plaza that has plenty of parking. When you walk in, you are greeted by an over powering smell of cultured incense that doesn't blend well with the standard pho broth aroma. The food is ok. We ordered the chicken and salty fried rice but it didn't look like the menu picture. It lacked the bits of vegetables. It was really plain looking. Tasted ok.
