Its a place where you scoop your own ingredients for the noodle soup. It has more than 30 items to choose from such as fish balls, seaweed, mushroom, noodles, tofu etc. Then you can weight the stuff you chose and choose your protein and drink. It's almost like a hot pot, but they cook it for you and you don't get refill but for cheaper price. I would say chinese would like this place more just because we use to the hot pot style. But for others might be weird to try black fungus, quail egg, or ham etc. in your noodle soup.
I want to just let you know what was going on UBEREATS today. I had ordered the food on UBEREATS 9:30pm. I got it 11:15pm.. But there is only solid of ingredients with no soup. UBEREATS driver had dropped it down on the lobby even I requested “leave at the door” option in UBEREATS And there was really mess up. I can not eat this and requested refund to UBEREATS. If you have checked this review, leave the comment. I will remove this review. Thanks.
The soup is good, don't pick too much artificial or processed foods. Instead order lamb, meat, scrimps, squids or fish from the counter then you have a delicious bowl of noodle.
The food is not bad but it is way overpriced at $26/kg of ingredients. A bowl of noodle can easily reach the $30 mark which is very pricey. The profit margin for a bowl of noodle at this place is unreasonably high since the customers are the "Unofficial Free Kitchen Help" who put together a mix of foods for the restaurant owner/cook. I hope the owner would consider adjusting the price to a more reasonable $20/kg so that more people could afford to enjoy his food.
I ordered this on ubereats, and while it is a little bit more expensive.. it is definitely not worth $15.. I ordered some noodles with beef, tofu and mushroom. It did not even fill half the take out box it came in. To get a good amount of noodles, I would have had to order 3-4 orders of it. One order of noodles is about 2-3 bites.
Casual little place serving make-your-own malatang hot and spicy; fill a big mixing bowl with however many ingredients you'd like, pick a protein/broth spiciness, and wait for your customized bowls to come to the table. Bowls are charged by weight, be prepared to spend $25+ on a nicely-loaded one. Really delicious, made just right.
It was first time to try and I got terrible experience at here all dishes were really dirty and discussing also not fresh foods BTW, they don't ware face mask and really expensive I NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
Excellent Malatang, like in China. Great ingredients. The lady at the restaurant was very nice and friendly. We missed original Malatang so much and we are happy that we found this place in Mississauga.
Food is not fresh and tasted no good. The worst is the service altitude!! Impatient and disrespectful!!! Terrible!
I would say it is a extremely lazy store! I got there 9pm and then they won’t serve you because they need to clean everything and go home! So if you are a eat night person probably won’t fit your need!
