Story

Our philosophy is to provide pet owners with the best selection of pet care items at competitive prices, together with informed and friendly customer service, at convenient, neighborhood store locations. With almost 400 locations, there’s sure to be one near you.

We pride ourselves on being pet experts and we want to use our knowledge and experience to help you find the right nutrition and other solutions for your pets. Most of our stores are involved in their community, teaming up with animal rescues and adoption programs, and fundraising for animal shelters. We work with animal rescues and shelters to host adoption special events at most of our stores, in addition to the 80+ locations with on-site adoption programs.

I use them because they're close to home.  It's a good store. Most places offer "buy 10 bags get one free".. them it's 12. Friendly staff.  They always have my dog food. Prices are normal.

Left 4 messages over the last 9 days to get a grooming appointment for my dog and still no one has returned my call? I even called the store to see why no one in their grooming department answers the phone or calls customers back. The person who answered wasn't very helpful at all. I asked her if she could go to the grooming department and provide my name and number to call me and her answer was " we are seperate, I cant do that"??? Not sure why she couldnt just walk over and give the message but its obvious customer service isnt their strong suit or priority. It really shouldnt be this hard to make an appointment with a local business. After 9 days I have given up. Pet Valu Royal Oak, you need better staff who are customer focused and return calls. Making a grooming appointment should never be this hard.

Just called to ask a question about dog grooming. Who ever was answering the phones at 4:00 today was completely unprofessional.  Was totally not helpful. 

The owner of this location is delightful. He is helpful and very nice.  He needs to do some work with his staff.

We enjoy that employees can bring their dogs to work here. Great place to socialize our dog while picking up some treats or necessities!
