Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

It was Christmas Day our waitress had worked an extra long shift and still had a smile for us. Limited menu as it was the holiday so I had to adjust what I wanted. (that the only reason it had 4 stars). Pleasant experience.

I always get seated right away for lunch. Of course its Perkins and they have a large variety of menu items to choose from. Staff are friendly. All in all a good dining experience.

We were there Sunday morning before the rush. Lots of tables with dirty dishes on them. There was lots of staff standing around but nobody was working. Our waitress was busy and got no help from the hostess. There was a boy walking around taking all the tips off the table, sticking them in his pocket, but not bothering to help clean them off. Our food took forever to come out. There was a manager walking around but he wasn't doing anything either and soon disappeared. I finally went up to the counter to get my bill and the girl who had been standing there all morning didn't know how to find it. The food was good, but everything else was a disaster. Poor management and knowing how to get your staff to be productive.

While there are many servers here who are exemplary the ones that we've run into issues with have severely damaged our views. I will still go here but I am careful about who my servers are.

I came in with just my son for Christmas dinner. Older folks and I guess more prominent people were service right away while we waited for over 30 minutes for a server to come over to us. After 1 hour of waiting for our food, we just gave up and left. They don't care about their customers if they look like they don't have money. What's funny is I always tip over 25%. This just ruined Christmas dinner for us. Thanks for wasting our time.
