Great Restaurant, included in the Michelin guide of restaurants. We went to the uptown location, they have one in downtown Toronto as well, and we’re pleasantly surprised. Chef Nuit’s menu selection makes you want to try everything. The apps and shareable were very tasty. I must try is Chef Nuit’s Pad Thai - you have a selection of proteins, we chose shrimps. Outstanding flavour decor was chic and casual. Very appealing. It is, however, noisy during peak times we did not mind it, but we had to ask our Server to repeat herself a few times due to the noise and her soft-spoken demeanor. Service was fast, by a team of servers. Food was pleasantly warm. Near the entrance of the second floor, are the cliff lanterns hung from the ceiling, which was beautiful. We had a great time. Food, service, atmosphere were tops.
The restaurant is stunning, and the food is absolutely delicious. I can't recommend the Pad Thai and papaya salad enough. The Pad Thai was so authentic - not sweet at all, just the right balance of sourness with soft noodles. I've been told by my Thai friend that if it's sweet, it's not the real deal! They also have a great selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
I went to try out PAI when I visited Toronto and it did not disappoint! The food is so yummy. I love their Tom yum soup and the mango coconut dessert is the best!! The restaurant is so pretty as well which added onto my experience. I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the GTA area and are craving for some Thai food. Dinner time when I went got really packed so if you have a bigger group be sure to book a reservation!
Went on a Monday at 6pm with no reservation, was told to wait and then given a small two seat table for three people. Table next to us finished and we asked to switch tables, to wish they seemingly reluctantly agreed because of reservations; there were still empty tables when we were done with our meal.nnRestaurant is well decorated, but quite hot, maybe because it’s upstairs and during a heat wave. I was sweating and drinking lots of cold water, but it took 10 minutes for our server to notice our water was finished and get us a new one.nnThe food was overall quite nice. The soup was a little too oily and we weren’t told by our server that getting the small version doesn’t come with rice. The pad see ew was very flavourful, but lacking a bit in the noodles. The Thai chicken was very good, big portion. The sticky rice was very hard though, maybe it wasn’t heated up properly?nnOverall, good food, but we did not feel welcome by the service. The website says that the majority of tables are held for walk-in service, but it didn’t feel like that. We were an afterthought.
Excellent Thai food and quick service. The place is huge you can't tell when you look at the entrance, and we had no problems finding a table for three at 7 pm on a Saturday. It can get super busy, and I guess we were lucky.
