Not your typical Michelin restaurant - prices are very reasonable and it’s a casual atmosphere. However the food and service are excellent.nnThe restaurant is tucked inside an Asian plaza. Overall very informal yet quick attentive service. We came on a Monday evening and it was half full.nnThe menu is extensive and some dishes are quite spicy!nnLots of free parking outside.
Michelin Thai restaurant located within Splendid China Mall. Had a great assortment of choices with an authentic Thai taste. Waiters were very nice and the interior and atmosphere was very clean. Certain dishes were spicy but that’s just the way Thai food tastes so if your spice tolerance isn’t that great, just let the waiters know ahead of time Spring rolls and mango pineapple were spicy. Was pretty good that it made me come back a few times, definitely recommend trying out ~
This is our first time to come here. Looking for Thai lunch in the area and found it. Restaurant is quite spacious, not busy at all. We ordered the veggie Tom yum soup more sweet than spicy, and two items from special menu. Chicken Curry sticky rice and shrimp roll. They are all tasteful. Even mild, still spicier than other restaurants. Depends on where you sit, we were assigned to a dark corner and very dark even they have a portable table lamp. Rest of the restaurant are much brighter. So if you prefer bright or dark, may let them know. I think the shrimp roll will taste better if it is less salty. BTW, if you look for lunch special, they don’t have it. Just regular menu for the whole day.
Koh Lipe Thai Kitchen is easily one of my favorite spots in Scarborough! It’s a Michelin star restaurant, but honestly, the prices are super reasonable for the quality you’re getting, it’s not just for special occasions, you know?nnEvery time I’m here, I have to get the Thai Coconut Mussel Curry. It’s seriously the best. The mussels are always fresh and cooked perfectly, and the curry is this amazing combo of creamy coconut and just the right amount of spice. If you’re into seafood or bold flavors, you need to try this dish. And to balance out the heat, I always grab a Thai Iced Tea, it’s sweet, creamy, and so refreshing. Perfect for cooling down if you’re not a big fan of super spicy dishes.nnThey’re usually pretty busy it’s popular for a reason!, but even then, they’re always able to find space for walkins, which is super convenient when you’re craving Thai food last minute. The vibe is relaxed, and the staff is really friendly and on it, making you feel at home right away.nnIf you’re looking for delicious, high quality Thai food without spending a ton, Koh Lipe Thai Kitchen is a must. Michelin star quality, great portions, and dishes that keep you coming back!
We saw a lot of good reviews and came to try it. The service was very good and friendly. The decor of the Restaurant was beautiful and colorful. We ordered dishes that were recommended. They were very delicious but they were a bit spicy. The pineapple rice it was quite different from what I usually have. I found it a bit wet and too much sauce. It was not regular fried rice they used sticky rice, but my family liked it.
