Came here on a whim after having eaten at their other location, and this place did not disappoint. We were thankfully able to get in as walk-ins, and we ordered the Islamic noodles and the fish cakes.nnThe fish cakes were pretty spicy for someone like me who isn’t used to eating much spicy food, but the Islamic noodles were fine in that department. The peanuts provided some very nice texture, while the curry itself was extremely flavourful and the eggs were also a nice addition on top.nnFor dessert, we got the mango sticky rice, which came with a chocolate mango flavoured chocolate shell. I really liked how you were able to crack open the mango yourself, as the other Koh Lipe location doesn’t give you the shell. The rice was super flavourful, and the chocolate gives a nice balance between the sourness of the mango and the flavour of the rice.
Went to this place when I visited Toronto and I loved it! The food here was so flavourful and it was one of the best Thai foods I ever had. We went around 7pm on a weekday and it was busy but we were able to be sat quickly. We loved the pork with rice & egg, the pork was cooked just right and it was so flavourful and it went perfectly with the rice. I also recommend getting the pineapple rice, it was aesthetic and delicious even tho I’m not a big fan of pineapple w salty foods. Will definitely return next time I visit Toronto again and try their drinks and other dishes. The interior of the restaurant is also really pretty and the vibes were good.
Koh Lipe in Toronto is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai cuisine, especially if you love Pad Thai. It’s perfectly balanced with sweet and savory notes, and the noodles are cooked just right.nnI also highly recommend the Islamic noodles; they’re rich in flavor and offer a unique twist that’s hard to find elsewhere.nnWhile it does get busy on weekends, and it’s definitely worth the wait. The staff are attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. If you’re craving great Thai food, Koh Lipe is a must-visit!
Very good service and very nice atmosphere. Food was tasty, one of the better Thai restaurants I’ve been to with a nice balance in flavour. However I found the crispy pork to be way too crispy, it honestly hurt my teeth after a while. Would recommend the Khao Soi as a solo dish and maybe the Islamic noodles and pineapple fried rice for sharing. I felt like the taste of the Islamic noodles were great but might get tiring for the whole dish. Fish cakes are great apps. The portions are huge.
This was a beautiful restaurant that was nicely decorated inside as well at the patio. We chose to sit inside because it was slightly chilly and I don't remember seeing any heat lamps outside. We went around 2 but there was still a bit of a wait because the restaurant is so popular. The food was almost impeccable. The Goong Moun appetizer was really good. The skin was crispy and it packed a bit of a punch. We also ordered the Pad Mee off the special menu. If you don't want something too spicy, this is perfect. It tasted like a lighter version of Pad Thai. I loved the thinned noodles. My only complaint is that the shrimps were not fully deveined so I had to pick some out myself. The last dish we got was the Isalamic Noodle which was so flavorful and delicious. We curry sauce was so good and mildly spicy do hopefully you can take the heat. Overall, it was a great experience. The staff were also so kind and so nice. They were always smiling and laughing and it looked like they enjoyed their work. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for some authentic Thai cuisine.
