It's a community activity area with a lot of activities to do, such as fitness, hockey, badminton, and dancing. You can bring kids here for activities on Saturdays and Sundays. The downside is that there are no staff members to provide any information. How would someone who has just arrived in this country for the first time know how to register or where the rooms are located?
The Oriole Community Centre serves as a valuable hub for residents, offering a range of programs and activities. However, the high demand for these programs often leaves many residents feeling frustrated and excluded, as spaces fill up quickly and accessibility becomes limited. To address this issue, the centre should consider expanding its offerings to better accommodate the needs of the community.nnIntroducing additional programs, such as an indoor swimming pool and ice skating rink, would not only provide residents with more opportunities for recreation and fitness but also help alleviate the strain on existing facilities. These new amenities would offer year-round enjoyment for individuals of all ages and abilities, fostering a stronger sense of community and promoting active lifestyles.nnBy revamping its programming and facilities, the Oriole Community Centre has the potential to become an even more vibrant and inclusive space where residents can come together to learn, play, and connect. It's time to prioritize the needs of the community and ensure that everyone has access to the resources and activities they need to thrive.
Nice skating rink with free leisure skate times several times a week. Ice surface gets Zamboni’d after about an hour of skate time so it stays fairly smooth. Can get fairly crowded during busy days, but it’s usually fairly organized with people going in the same direction.
It’s a good place. Well maintained. The volunteers are quite helpful. In the summers, there is access to the pool. The gym is pretty decent.nThey also have drop in programs & other activities.
Nice weight room we appreciate the free servicenSoooooooo SMALL, for all this HUGE number of people, women and mennCheck the other TOTALLY EMPTY rooms and not in use .nBanquet roomnDancing roomnLounge roomnGame room in a bigger sizenAll these rooms are empty , closed, and could be provided for weight room for only women to give more privacy.nThe treadmill machines and bikes could be in a separate room other than the weight roomnWe should have a bigger space for weight room only or only for women separate from men .nThe weight room capacity is high high and not all athletes sign in the check-in because they use other exit doorsnAlso it's not SAFE for all these people in a small room, and ALL other ROOMS are already empty.nCommunity managers should look into it please ASAP.nThank you very much
