My husband and I visited this restaurant the first day back in Chicago and the hospitality was beautiful. Beautiful family owned and operated restaurant in downtown. How did we not know of this place before?? The food tasted like love. Thank you so much for what you do. Ramadan Mubarak!!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
There are a few good Greek restaurants in the area and I’ve tried a couple of them. Old Jerusalem is one of my favorite Greek restaurants. They have a lot of good dishes. It doesn’t offer strong tastes to all the dishes which is great because the taste was just right enough to make it so delicious. At the end, I also ordered some for take-home for my kids. Love this place.
Me and my son stopped here for supper on Saturday to this restaurant. I ordered the version of Greek gyro. Little different tasting than the common gyro. Filled with meat, lettuce and tomatoes. Had a good flavor. The service was poor. Had to wait for water which the server never came back. 2 sandwiches came to $25. Service was poor
Really could not have been any more perfect for my day. Exactly what I wanted. The hummus was beautifully done. The falafel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The fresh vegetables were indeed fresh and the pita was soft and pillowy. It was immersive: the only English I heard was when the matron was taking my order. Very authentic. Thank you.
I ordered online Ritual for pick up after 10 mins I arrived there, of course I am expecting the food isn't ready yet. I heard the owner ordering the kitchen staff to make the food as fast as they can. That was very nice gesture that I really appreciate. I told them they can take their time. I only waited for 10 mins, the food was done and served with big smile. When I got home and we tried the food. Ohmgosh! You should try this. The Falafel sandwich was superb, I like the combination that I ordered and I could eat the toubulli salad. It refreshed my palate.
They had a fresh veggie plate, falafel was crispy , the meat plate was super goooood! You can enjoy the outdoor seating in the beautiful old town neighborhood
Food was good and tasty and quick service It’s like home food Price bit expensive but Good, we love their hospitality
Came in here for a late night bite on the fourth. Staff was extremely friendly and the food was amazing. I wanted half beef and half chicken and they were able to do it. Tasted delicious.
Obviously this restaurant has been open in the same spot since 1976 for a reason! We enjoyed an amazing meal on the patio and had the best service from the owner. I can’t recommend the foul fava bean dish enough. Such an experience of flavors! This spot in Old Town Chicago was the perfect meal before a show at Second City. Amazing food, service and ambiance! Vegetarian options: The vegetarian combination was perfectly shared between two people.
Highly recommended. If you are looking for authentic Lebanese food you should definitely give it a try. Everything was delicious and reminded me of my mama's homemade food. The staff is very friendly and polite. The service is great.
