Old Bread Mill

I've been coming here every week for years. The bread here is hands down the best I've had in the GTA. There are tables to drink your cappuccino (not Starbucks style - I'm talking real cappuccino) and eavesdrop on the older Italian gentlemen who meet here. The owner is a little gruff but is a real sweetheart. He greets me every week and gives me free samples when there are new products to try out. Coming to the Old Bread Mill has become one of the highlights of my week, and a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

My favourite Italian hot table. The bakery has a wonderful selection of house made breads. Great deli counter. The desserts are mouthwatering.

Authentic Italian experience friendly with all the extra culinary wants you expect to see in a bakery. Excellent!

I ordered a birthday cake for my kids. Their description of the cake size was soon far off, when I picked it up it wouldn't even fit in the fridge how huge it was. And no I didn't want it that big. The topping was plain, cheap whipped cream put in such a thin layer you could see what's underneath. Decorating flowers look fake and plastic. If that was the effect I wanted, I could have bought cheap dollar store small toys and my decor would have looked better. Lastly, the happy birthday writing looks like a poor attempt of right-handed person so write with their left hand. It's not readable by adults let alone children. Bad choice of a bakery for occasion cakes. Avoid. Very disappointed!!!

Worst customer service I've encountered the last two times I've been there. No one at the cash and then when they finally show up he gives a rude statement to all customers standing in line.
