Such a lovely hotel. Stayed here for a hockey tournament. A bit out of the way, but in the best way. Adorable small town with many shops to explore. The hotel itself had a great pool, outdoor area, gazebo, and patio. Our room had a large family room and spacious kitchen.
We booked this hotel last minute for New Year’s Eve, and managed to get a two bedroom king suite. It was very reasonably priced. So do not let the front of the hotel put you off, it looks small but it’s not. This is also not a new hotel, it's well used but also seems loved by the staff. The staff is excellent, really helpful and super friendly. I would imagine the upkeep for the staff is a lot of hard work, but they were always friendly and smiling. The hotel is older and is well used but definitely really good value for your money. We had heard some rooms were renovated but did not see them. The view from the rooms is beautiful, the beds were super comfortable and our suite was big enough for four adults and one child very comfortably. One room had a king size bed, and its own powder room with just a sink and toilet. The other room had a queen size bed with a full bathroom outside in the hallway. The pool and hot tub are a lot of fun and I can imagine in the summer it is even better. I would like to check out a garden level suite next time. We didn’t go to the restaurant but we have heard it’s very good. Our room came with a kitchen, fridge stove little dishwasher, the stove is smaller in size, but worked out fine. I would make one suggestion that the kitchen be set up a bit better with more supplies like paper towel, more coffee supplies, more dish cloths, etc. so you don’t have to call down and go pick things up. The staff were really friendly about it but it would probably be easier on them as well. All in all a fun family night.
Had a wonderful time at this Hotel. The view is spectacular. The rooms were huge. 5th floor had a nice shower. 1st floor has a bath but walks out to the beach. Food was also very good at the cook and butcher. Overall would definitely stay again and would highly recommend. Would like to add a big thank you to the female maintenance lady. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was top notch.
Overall, we were impressed!nOur suite was lovely and reasonably priced, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Bed was very comfortable, pillows not so much. Restaurant food and staff were both awesome although we would have liked to have had the option of a different menu for lunch rather than the dinner menu. We liked it enough that we plan to return in the spring.
Little surprised that there are so many good reviews, and I wonder if perhaps our room was not “renovated” yet. Outside of newish laminate floorswhich I hate, they feel gross and dirty at a hotel I dont know what is renovated? The couch was covered in gloppy stains my kids were disgusted, the sheets all had stains and holes, towels had hairs in them and holes plus were of dollar store quality, old base board heaters and a portable ac machine, we had the sign up for housekeeping because with the shape the towels were in there was no possibility of using them twice as well the shower curtain is extremely thin and had holes it had also been cut everywhere at the top? I assume to slide off easier? Instead it allows tons of water to get onto the floor, so with two adults and two kids your using most of your towels to clean the floor. They never cleaned the room despite the sign being up for ten hours while we were out the entire day. Was so relieved to get to our next stay and despite paying the same amount of money our hotel is super clean, and beautiful. View only takes you so far, and it is such a shame because with being ocean front you could have such a beautiful hotel and its being wasted here. I guess on the premise that people will book regardless of the experience.
