I had a fantastic experience at this store today while shopping for ski equipment. A young man named Felix if I’m remembering correctly, with curly hair and glasses, assisted me throughout my visit. He was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Felix took the time to introduce me to various options, carefully explaining the differences between different types of skis. He was extremely helpful in guiding me through trying on and sizing the ski boots, ensuring I found the perfect fit. His friendly and professional attitude made the entire shopping experience enjoyable. I’m very happy with my purchase and truly appreciate the excellent service I received. Highly recommend this store!
Really nice experience! Had a strap for my snowboard bindings replaced in no time. Lots of parts available for replacement. Really good service
I’m an avid snowboarder and bought Rome boots at Oberson Laval. After 1 year, they broke, so I went in to inquire about a warranty claim. I didn’t have my receipt but had my Visa transaction. Mind you, I am there in person — guy at the register tells me to contact Phillipe the warranty guy by email as it would create *less back-and-forth in store*.nnI emailed — no response. I call Phillipe a few days later, he asked to send Visa transaction and promised a follow-up — never heard back. Went in person again, Phillipe wouldn't come out. Another employee tried to help but found the system had reset, erasing older transactions. In the end, all the back and forth led to no results and nothing was accomplished.nnI understand not having my receipt is on me, but the lack of follow-up and customer care made the whole process frustrating.nnSituation Update -- I have been contacted through email and was able to receive a refund. Thank you for the prompt response.
I had a great experience at Oberson buying my new skis. Gilles was amazing—he really took the time to understand what kind of skier I am and what I was looking for. He was very good at explaining the different models characteristics, pros and cons, and which ones would be ideal for me and why. I was stuck between two models, but he was super patient, answered all my questions, and gave me the advice I needed to feel confident about my choice. You can tell the staff here really know their stuff when it comes to skis. Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to go back!
Excellent service by staff. They went over and beyind during the time I was there. I had bought my boots and another place and cmae here to have them heated and moldled to my feet. When the employee took a look at my insoles he showed another employee and both had a stunned look on their faces. They were surprised that a very well known ski shop and made such a error in selling a wrond insole and not even mold the insole to my foot. They said that they were going to call the place and fix the issue without charge. Gill and Jean Jullien were prfessional, curteos, kind, empathetic, and devoted to the ski and snow industry. If you ever have a chance to pass by, ask for Gill or Jean Jullien, Can't ask for better kind-hearted individuals.
