"Oak House Farm and Butchery is a family run business based in the village of Sproughton to the west of Ipswich, Suffolk.We practice traditional mixed farming, rearing Gloucestershire Old Spot and Large White pigs and Red Poll cattle, which provide the majority of the meat for our on farm butchery. Fantastic selection of meat, went for a couple of ribeye steaks, which i really enjoyed. The quality of the ribeye is another level compared to the stuff available in a supermarket. The mince is real meat, not stuffed full of fat as a supermarket meat. I also tried a couple of the pork sausages and again fantastic. I will be going back next week for another treat.
A new shopper here, who had recently swapped from another local farm butchery, I can't be more pleased to have been recommended ! The delicious prize winning meat surely can not be bettered. The friendly and helpful service is second to none. All requirements are cheerfully dealt with; walking stick impaired, without asking, my shopping bag is carried to my car.

Prices reflect quality and I have not heard of anyone complaining about the meat from the butchers shop. Well worth a visit
Amazing sausages! We tasted some of their sausages at the Framlingham Sausage Festival, and made a note of the name. Very friendly ladies in the shop at the farm. Highly recommend!
Love coming here to get our meat and eggs, and brilliant to be able to support a local and sustainable business. So fresh and tasty, and usually a good selection of cuts and items available. Friendly and helpful staff always on hand, and an even better stock of freshly frozen items if they don’t have exactly what you’re after at the counter.
Lovely farm, great food. Would love to visit again in better weather.
I live in Suffolk for 3 years now and I don’t know why I didn’t shop here earlier. After reading some reviews on here I expected it to be more expensive but it turned out they’re not expensive at all. Just cooked some beef burgers I bought from there and they’re so juicy and delicious, nothing like the meat you’d but from big stores. Even the colour it’s different. I finally bought real meat eggs and honey and it’s all local I’m proud I found this gem. Extremely satisfied with them.
Love this butchers because you can actually see the animals on the farm and know that they have been cared for well. Most of their food has also been grown on the farm. If you ring and order in advance you can bring your own containers and save on plastic.
Been coming here for a while now. Meat is aways excellent and super tasty Not cheap but Good value. There burgers and sausages are the best I've ever tasted and highly recommended. And they will cut the meat exactly how you like it , chops and Gammon steaks etc.
