Madison Sourdough

I'd love to give them 5 stars, but I have definitely felt less than loved a time or two for asking questions that to me didn't seem to be stupid questions. I've just needed clarification on menu items before and was responded to like "how does this person not know the answer to this question". I also wish they had a little more space, but that's not their fault. Generally some of the better food you can get in Madison. Lots of attention to quality!

Great space and atmosphere! Got the vegetarian eggs Benedict, which was on an insanely thick piece of sourdough bread. Got a workout just trying to cut through the crust but it was worth it. Delicious!

Great choices of pastries all made fresh and with great ingredients. Friendly staff and atmosphere. My experience has always been very positive there. Delicious choice!!

The food is consistently good. Old favorites are reliable, and there are usually new flavors that are both interesting and well executed. Sadly, I have to knock off one star for the coffee. It tastes like it was filtered through a used washrag. Always. Every time I've been there. That's a pretty big part of breakfast out, for me, so it's worth at least one star.

One of the best Reuben sandwiches I've ever had. Cool place to hang out. Good coffee as well. Just realized how amazing their breakfast menu looks as well so I will definitely be back.
