North Valley Food Bank is open every weekday, 9-1, to accept donations.

We distribute food on Thursdays, 12-2. Emergency distributions as needed.

Story

We are a non profit 501©3 organization consisting of strictly volunteer help (50 volunteers 8,208 volunteer hours). We are guided by a Board of Directors who are active in the Whitefish Community. We are the only food bank that has a meat processing crew. Fish, Wildlife and Parks brings us usable road-kill and confiscated fish and game. The week before Thanksgiving, we processed an elk, moose and two deer. We cut, wrap and freeze the meat for future use. NVFB covers north to the Canadian Border, Stryker, Rexford, Olney, Whitefish, Half Moon and south to Happy Valley. We feed anyone who falls through the cracks! If we have a surplus of perishable food, we look for someone who can use it. Our mandate is to Never Waste Food!
