Story

Tupelo Grille started out in 1995 as a small bistro and quickly gained recognition as being one of the top eateries in Whitefish. We specialize in Cajun and American cuisine and offer many gluten free options. Our extensive wine and spirits lists are served alongside an exceptional cocktail menu and a fantastic wine by the glass selection. The warm, cozy atmosphere is complemented by our constant attention on great customer service.

We had a selection of appetizers and I was just delighted with the flavors. Everything was cooked perfectly. Everything had a unique and complex flavor profile. Even the tiny portion of "slaw" that came with the different items had a different taste with each item. Service was fantastic. The hostess seated us in the bar and was sensitive enough to find an extra chair for us so we could sit far enough from the band that I could hear. How she knew we would like that is a mystery, but, nice touch.

We have visited Whitefish several times over the years and I have always wanted to try Tupelo Grille. Usually we are with a crowd who opts for cheap pizza and burgers. This time, after a recommendation from a local, we finally got to eat here. I can't stop thinking about it! Best meal I have had in ages. Never thought much about trying shrimp and grits but the lovely waitress talked me into it and WOW--so very good! The couple next to us (plus the local boarder) said "be sure to try the bread pudding." Another thing I have never wanted to try, but it was amazing. When we get back to Whitefish, we will be back to Tupelo Grille!

Unique and delicious food! Duck and waffles to start were a surprisingly good combination. The elk meatloaf was delicious. I am generally not a meatloaf fan but I ate half my husband's plate! Even the salad was delicious!

The shrimp and grits are AMAZING! The Mac & Cheese is melt in your mouth fantastic. All the plates served to the tables around us looked delicious. The restaurant is clean and well kept. Portion sizes are plentiful. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

First time at Tupelos grill for my husband and I, what a wonderful experience! Marta was our waitress and she was a delight! She was very attentive, friendly, and genuine. The food was delicious as well. We made the right choice for our once a year date night!!
