Warning - get a second opinion. I have a 2016 Chevy 2500 Duramax and was having problems with it going into low-power mode when I gave it gas going up hills and mountains. The check engine light came on, so I scheduled an appointment at Don K. After a couple of hours they came back and said they could not replicate the problem, but then gave me a quote for $2,500 to have a few parts replaced. I decided not to go that route, and left for my trip to Alaska. I stopped in Canada at a really great diesel mechanic shop and had them look at everything. Come to find out, my air filter was completely clogged up, which is almost certainly what was causing the turbo not to get enough air, thus sending it into low-power mode and triggering the check engine light. I could have paid $2,500 at Don K for them to fix something that is most likely not even broken. Apparently they did not even check the air filter. When I told about them about the air filter, they said that I may still have a problem with my turbo, which is exactly opposite of what the mechanic shop in Canada told me. At least I only paid the $90 diagnostic fee. I guess a diagnostic doesn't have to be right. Nice people, though.
