Nonna Lia

Nonna Lia is a dessert shop that specializes in tiramisu and semifreddo. While handcrafted with quality traditional ingredients such as mascarpone cheese and ladyfinger biscuits, they take a fresh approach to this traditional Italian dessert by offering unique variations such as matcha, hazelnut chocolate, earl grey, strawberry, pistachio, and mango passionfruit. The matcha tiramisu had a pronounced matcha flavour but the bitterness of the matcha was balanced by the sweet creamy mascarpone cheese and the airy layers of ladyfinger biscuits. They can be found sharing a location with Legend Tea in Richmond Hill’s Times Square. At $19-$22, these tiramisu which come in a nicely packaged container complete with matching leather-like bow around it are definitely a premium product with a premium price. It’s worthwhile to try ordering through UberEats for pickup as the prices were discounted ~$4 to $5 lower than the posted retail price. Can’t wait to try some of the other flavours.

Tried one of the tiramisu. My first time and I picked the pistachios one. It come in a plastic box and it’s very pretty to look at! And taste wise, It is very yummy! Moist on the bottom with sweet and strong coffee taste while the top has pistachios cheese mousse which compliments well with bottom layer! I really love it and it’s a 5 star quality for sure. It’s just I think it’s quite expensive though for $20 plus tax for the portion I am getting. The portion is really a one person portion. I get it you get what you pay for but my wallet is yelling ouch… lol. So that’s why overall, I am giving it a 4 stars for this experience! I guess I will treat this as a special occasion kind of dessert ….

I am always truly have a passion for the dessert Tiramasu. Upon seeing many times on social media of this place, I knew I had to try it. The Classic Tirmasu is everything you would love in a Tiramisu it is creamy and moist and taste absolutely delicious. The pistachu Tiramisu is Aldo creamy with the blend of the pitacho cream and takes a classic with a different flavor. I will continue to order from this place again when nearby.

Nonna Lia has the best cakes ever!!! Both their semifreddo cakes and their Tiramisu are "To Die For"! Their semi freddo ice creams are the best ice cream I have ever tasted. You can taste they use quality ingredients and really put their heart and love into making the best products! What is even better is that they offer free delivery to my favourite sushi take out shop Kou. I have been blowing my guests away with my sushi and Nonna Lia cake parties during the holidays!!

Ordered a 6” pistachio cake for delivery to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. It was perfect. Reminded us of our time travelling in Italy earlier this summer. High quality ingredients, perfect amount of sweetness, and amazing packaging. Will be back to try their Semifreddo and Gelato as soon as I get a chance to visit.

Do NOT waste your money! I ordered a tiramisu and when it arrived it was stale and frozen inside. Probably staying in the freezer for a long time. The size of the container was smaller than a hand. You could buy a way better taste tiramisu from Costco only for $10 instead of $22 which comes in a bigger portion and more tasty.

Ordered classic tiramisu and earl grey tiramisu two weeks ago. Hubby and I both enjoyed it very much. It was soooo delicious and packaging was cute! I’m looking forward to trying the hazelnut tiramisu today. Hope it’s just as good! Edit: The hazelnut tiramisu was just as good!!

Got a delicious tiramisu cake from Nonna Lia didn’t even know this existed and it was amazing!! So creamy so delicious that all my guests finished it and asked for more!

The matcha tiramisu tastes good BUT I found a small piece of plastic in it almost swallowed it please focus when you make it:

It was fresh and creamy, I would definitely recommend Nonna Lia to those who is looking for authentic tiramisu: I didn’t have a pleasant experience with Kou Sushi’s customer service, and it’s unfortunate that they were disrespectful of Nonna Lia’s products and their customers.
