Duo Cafe

We were so excited to visit Duo Cafe for their famous pastries. It was such a nice cafe. The ambiance and food was super. We arrived around 2:00pm for afternoon tea and many items were sold out. Luckily, we were still able to pick something that we like. If you want more selection, you better go early. Everything we order tasted delicious and fresh. It would be great if we can have more time to enjoy our food and chat with our friends. They close at 4:00pm daily so it was quite rushed to meet for afternoon tea. I think having lunch there maybe a better idea cause you get more time. Otherwise, our overall experience was pleasant. We look forward to go back again & try other items sandwich and soft served ice cream next time.

2023 February 4.5 This is duo's second location and similar to their original pastries location except the atmosphere seems nicer/modern here. There also seems to be more selection here as well, this location serves: croissants, tarts, turnovers, cookies, cakes, sandwiches, coffee and ice cream. All of Duo's croissants $5-$6 are very good. Flaky and impressive with the number of fillings of both sweet and savory. The smoked duck sandwich $15 tasted great with the duck and the greens. The mini baked custard cake was so so..A bit dry for the cake itself, but the custard was good. The chestnut and pistachio ice cream $15 came in a pint split into two flavors was nice, thick and rich in flavors. Limited parking. The parking lot can often and easily get full.

Nice and spacious! Their pastries look amazing. They have two tables near a power outlet if you plan on spending the day on your computer. They seem to be consistently busy but still have available seating. Tried the chai latte, salmon sandwich, vanilla custard pastry, and their meringue. The sandwich was so light and delicious, the avocado paired so nice with the smoked salmon. Great service to top it off. Thank you!

Finally tried their ice cream cake and pastries and it was totally worth getting up early and driving 40 mins! I ordered Mona the dark chocolate cake and it is totally beyond my expectation. It has four layers inside and I like the combination of rich dark chocolate with sour and fresh lemon cream in between. For pastries, i like the matcha book, chestnut tart and plum danish. Will need to try other flavors of the cakes.

This is one of my favourite cafés uptown! They have amazing craftsmanship and quality pastries. I love that this spot has a lot of savoury and sweet options including traditional French pastries and those with an Asian twist. They also have gourmet ice cream cakes which are beautiful with balanced flavours which are not too sweet. The space is bright and spacious. I recommend the chestnut tart and mushroom bechamel focaccia!

Excellent bakery and coffee. Only problem is that they are sold out too early. I wish they would make another batch in the afternoon on weekends. Also they only sell ice cream cakes at this location.

First time to this place, from walk in to walk out was a pleasure. The environment is very mellow, bright, but not overpowering, and all the displays for the food are beautiful! I legit struggled to not want to eat everything there. I ordered two croissants one roast beef, the other turkey, one espresso cookie, and the raspberry rose shown in pic The croissants were so good I had them devoured in a mere moment, but the desserts were just as delightful. I definitely look forward to coming back. Lil on the pricy side but we’ll worth it honestly. <3 Well recommended for those who might want to hang out in a mellow place for a light coffee and snack for sure!

We thoroughly love the pastries, and they now serve sandwiches! Leslie St location only. Todays treat is the proscuitto sandwich! The focaccia is baked every morning, it so airy inside with the slightly firm crust. It is well furnished with thin slices of tomato, arugula, and slivers of boccaccino cheese make this a fantastic offering. I'd rate this a 5, if there is a little more proscuitto.

Very cute and contemporary designed cafe with great ambience, the drinks we got Flat White & Iced Matcha Latte & Matcha Book pastry taste great. However it is a bit pricey for the small portion of the iced matcha latte.Recommended dishesPastriesDietary restrictions accommodatedNot sure

A second offering of their amazing cakes and pastries! Duo patisserie opens up a cafe and nails down aesthetics in all categories! Seating, interior, and treats. All irresistible looking too! Couldn’t make up my mind and at the same time of thinking what to get, also admiring all the amazing creations! To the point that, I even let people pass me to order first! And when I went, they had chestnut soft serve and it was amazing! It was a little too soft of a soft serve, if that makes sense that my first lick almost took out the whole thing! But like all their treats, you are in for a treat too! They also have these super eyecatching ice cream cakes! Can’t go wrong with any choices you make! The most difficult decision is what you’re gonna get the next time around! Service was amazing! And the staff seem super friendly! Great job overall!
