*note* the reason the shelves were empty in the pics was because I came really early while they were cooling down on the cart trays in the kitchen. Great little pastry shop located by Leslie and Hwy 7 area with great selection of buns and other goodies. I've been coming here for many years and I always come right in the morning for the freshest offerings right out the oven. Prices are reasonable compared to other bakeries in the surrounding area.
Best bakery buns at a reasonable price! Baked fresh and sometimes if you time it right, the buns are still hot from the oven! Egg tarts are also really good.
Buns are fairly cheap at around $1.60 per bun. They are smaller than what you’d find at luculus but quite a bit cheaper. Decent variety and definitely authentic. Bring some cash because I’m not sure they accept debit cards/credit cards.
Great little shop for Chinese pastries. Good selection of different kinds of pineapple buns and both the flakey and dough shell egg tarts. Fast friendly staff.
I bought a coffee roll. It tasted and smelled like tuna. Went back and explained the situation very politely, and the response I got was it is how coffee tastes like and told me not to buy coffee roll again. Not even an apology. Well. I don’t think I will ever come back. Not sure how this pastries got 4.2 stars reviews in the first place.
Not very good. The buns weren't fresh and pineapple buns had very little topping.
Wow. For a small bakery deep in the middle of a plaza it’s absolutely amazing. So fresh and super good. The pork bun is by far the best I’ve had in a while. Rivals Kim moon bakery from the 80s. This is a must!!! The flaky buns are crazy good.
Popped in on a Saturday morning, saw a steady stream of customers and a couple of patrons drinking hot drinks which the bakery serves. The offerings are an interesting mix a higher proportion of savoury snacks than I''ve seen in other bakeries. I went for the sweeter stuff. The raisin roll was good and I also tried the chestnut bun which I've never before. This was also good. For a taste comparison I purchased a coconut and pineapple bun and this was the best of the three, most excellent. Prices were standard as was the service at the counter.
Great buns! Best kept secret. It's so fresh, you can pick warm buns off the baking tray.
The Chinese buns made here are tasty and cheap compared with other places, but it's pretty no frills and the premises aren't very clean -- not that most Chinese pastry shops are. Good for quickly dropping in to pick up a few buns to take out. Cash-only.
