Came in for dinner with a group of guys on a Friday night. The restaurant was mostly empty, but the food was still better than I had anticipated. The food was classic Mediterranean-style dishes at a decent price - nothing terribly innovative or impressive, but all solid flavors and textures. My favorite item was the scallops and parsnip puree. There were plenty of options for the vegetarian and gluten-free members of our party. I walked away both full and satisfied with the meal. If you're hungry and struggling to get a last minute table in West Loop, I'd recommend Nia.
We had dinner here for restaurant week. Food was good. Some of the dishes were a hit some not so much. Loved the soup, pasta, olive tapenade and desert. Our service was some what disappointing. It felt like there was only one server for the whole restaurant. From sitting down to first server contact was 28 minutes. After that the food came out at a decent pace.
My husband and I got the wonderful opportunity to dine at Nia last night after a wonderful massage from the Mirror Mirror Salon and Spa next door. We were the first guest of the evening and was greeted with open arms. The staff was nice and accommodating. The ambiance was lovely and inviting. The cuisine was delicious as well! We had the charcuterie board with delicious meats and cheeses. The Nia salad was delicious and refreshing. Our main courses were the Lamb Chops w/mushroom risotto and the Amish Chicken w/Potatoes and Broccoli. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We couldn’t wait to dig in. We will definitely return to dine here, especially after learning they have a patio set up during the summer months. Thanks Nia for a lovely date night.
OMG Chef Daniel makes the best bread. It's homemade. Try the Patatas Bravas, it's delicious. This is a great place for business dinners. It's definitely a go to for an intimate moment. The atmosphere is so mellow and romantic. The vibes are peaceful. The facility is a great establishment all together. It's just a really nice place to sit down, enjoy convo, a glass of wine and some great food.
I had such a wonderful time at Nia this evening! Incredible service from all of the staff. Beautiful ambiance in a decadent and intimate setting. And the carbonara; fantastic. You can really tell when someone has their heart and soul put into a place and Nia is an excellent example of that! Make them your next stop!
I want to come back when it's not restaurant week because I feel like they were completely overwhelmed with how busy it was, so keep that in mind with my review. But everything was just ok, drinks were just ok, food was just ok, nothing was memorable. Overall nothing we ordered really knocked out socks off unfortunately, and most dishes were forgettable. All except for the oxtail which was very, very good. We only did cocktails which were underwhelming, Espresso martini was not good, don't get one, Manhattans were just ok but this is an Italian spot, so I'm sure most will be ordering a bottle of wine and they have an ok selection. Once we ordered the food came out quickly, but only the oxtail was memorable. The steak frites had extremely chewy steak, croquettes were fine, and sadly the carbonara was very forgetful. Lastly our churros were still cold in the middle... All of this for almost $300 for two is a lot. What's tough is there are 5+ Italian spots in the area, so competition is very high, we will return again to try more food and I'll update my review.
One of the most welcoming quality restaurants in the city. I enjoyed the lamb which was finger licking good! The drink selection was amongst the top in the city. I will definitely be back again and have suggested it to many friends. Ask for the espresso martini it’s exquisite.
I cant speak to a normal experience but I and some friends participated in Resturant week with Nia this year and it was great! Had and 8 course, tapas style tasting menu and I was impressed! With so many heavy hitters in the west loop Nia could be overlooked but if your looking for a romantic setting and shared plates this is a gem.Dine in: Yes
Nia is a go to destination for me anytime I am in the West Loop! Tonight I popped in for a nice French Onion Soup and a couple of drinks. The French Onion Soup was excellent! Definitely homemade unlike many other places that cut corners with a generic beef base. It also featured the made in house mini Baguette slice as well as fresh sliced Swiss Cheese. In this cold weather it's the perfect soup to warm the bones! Beverage-wise I opted for the Estrella Cerveza which is imported from Spain. Very good taste and excellent pricing! 10/10 would recommend anything on the menu here! Great vibes, conversation friendly atmosphere especially for business oriented diners as well. They have a full service bar with a great variety of spirits, wine and beers as well as specialty cocktails. Whether you're out on date night or want a great place to conduct a business dinner, this place is perfect for any occasion! Do yourself a favor and come check it out!
Wine bar and warm atmosphere! Food is top notch, with a warm blend of flavors. 10 out of 10 Date night Business meals + close to downtown and reliable transportation
