Staff were friendly enough and the poll wasn't crowded. So Monday morning is the time to go if you can! Facilities look older even with a face-lift but they're functional and as clean as you would expect a public pool to be. Only complain was the pool play structure didn't have the water turned on and neither the waves nor the slides were going either. It was still a fun experience but no staff could tell us anything about why they weren't operating and when these things would operate.
It's really hard to articulate how much of a dump this facility is. First things first, it's in a rougher area next to a bus depot. I went today with my wife and upon entrance I was uncomfortably stared down by some unkempt locals. It made me really uneasy parking my car in the lot and leaving it in front of them. Next the facility. Yikes. It looks sorta okay if maybe you wanted to play some basketball or use the recreational gym there. Otherwise I'd avoid this place like the plague. The lockers are coin operated only the receptionist who wasn't the most pleasant offered to bill my debit card $0.25 and give me a quarter, but I'm not in the habit of bringing my wallet to the swimming pool for a dip unless you use the public lockers - which are located outside the change area - ACROSS the pool and get this : The stairway to the lockers are glasses off - so your options are to A. walk through the water park's sprinklers or B. climb over a dangerous planter with wet feet. Next the pool. Have you ever been to a pool where they have two separate pools? There's usually a small separate shallow urine-filled pool for toddlers etc and then a normal pool for adults to swim in. Not this place. The entire thing is just a shallow kiddie piss-pool. There's no diving or "jumping" even, the max depth is 6 feet. There wasn't a sauna, only a steam room, but the room is so large that it's impossible to fill with steam so it's just this weird humid room that makes you wet and sticky with none of the benefits of steam inhalation. I get this is a Government facility so my expectations are low, but this place is a complete joke. I'd be embarrassed to have my name attached to this facility in any professional manner.
Too many players last week 3teams played and they' were playing 4on4. I prefer 5 on 5 and it's easier on goalie less shots coming my way I must have received 100 shots I was burn almost no brake in between games so try and fix it to two teams 5 on five. With brakes in between games for goalies. Thanks
I am so disappointed because i registered my child for level 3 but could clear level 2 I don't understand if my child couldn't clear a level why they can't give him same level again. Whenever I try to ask the staff about swim lessons they even don't do the efforts to check system if there's something available and say no to me. Bed experience
*I almost got killed !!!* On Feb 5th around 6:30pm as I opened main door to enter the building, an 8ft long metal cover weighing about 40 ponds with sharp edges fell from above the door centimeters away from me. Apparently it was the cover of the electrical panel that enables automatic opening. I was frozen for few seconds in absolute shock. Few guys sitting by the bench screamed and yelled 'you almost got killed man'. They were so right, one more step and I was dead!!! Staff on duty at reception witnessed the accident and no one even asked if I was ok. One short guy in staff outfit walked passed me to look at the fallen panel. He was only concerned about what fell rather then to check if anyone got hurt. Thankfully there were no kids or seniors entering or exiting, else it could have been surely fatal. 15 mnts later I went to reception to check on my lost water container, when a staff in turban asked for my name and number, just for records sake as he had seen what had happened. He said some trainees did a sloppy job on the panel that's why it fell. Wow...What an excuse for almost killing me!!! No ownership, no apologies no help. No one cared. I will report this to media and city of Surrey as well. But requesting all visitors to be extra careful while visiting this facility.
Awesome place for kids. Customer service by the young woman, Sanvi, was exceptional. She went out of her way to try and help us find a space.
Today was my first day learning swimming, I lost my balance in the water and had no idea what to do while drowning Jas and her teammate jumped in, and saved my life. I don’t think 5-stars, reviews, or any kind or number of feedbacks could justify what Jas, and team did for me, and my family and my dog. Thank you so much. God bless you.
Went in to try out their gym to see if it was worth getting the 1 year pass... and I gotta say it was not worth the 7$ drop in fee. It's nice and clean but has bare minimum
I recently brought my kids here to swim and they thought the waves were great. It was pretty clean and the staff were great. Definitely, lock your belongings in the lockers on the pool deck, as there is a lot of theft here - one person had their locker broken into while we were there, resulting in their car also being stolen. My kids really enjoyed the water slides and play features.
Loved it... waves, slides, hot tub, pool for little ones. It has a gym and other places to have recreation. The only problem there, are the lockers ...it is $0.50 cents and a lot of them are not working so I spend more than 1.5 dollar trying to find one working.=
