For my first time here, I wasn’t impressed with the dim sum and other dishes soy sauce chicken and crispy rice topped bitter melon beef noodles that we ordered. It was decent, but lots of room for improvement. The pros are that there’s free parking at the designated stalls underground and the prices were reasonable.
Came for dimsum on a weekday and got a few items.nnBlack truffle siumai - flavour was okay. Truffle flavour wasn't very strong. Lots of shrimp not a lot of porknnChicken feet - not my favourite. I wouldn't get it again here. Not fried like other places. The flavour wasn't the bestnnCrispy shrimp dumpling - interesting dish. Not bad to try once. Very crispy on the outside. Lots of shrimp insidennPork floss rice roll - lots of pork floss. The rice roll was soft but lacked that fragrant rice flavournnCrispy fried ginger - don't get this unless you LOVE ginger flavour. It was so spicy. I myself like ginger but not this much. Order at your own risknnService was nice and speedy. Some mistakes but nothing unforgivable. Everything came fast except the chicken feet. Lots of space when we got there.
The dining area is divided into two separate halls, with the kitchen located in between. To get from one hall to the other, guests need to walk outdoors, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially in bad weather.nnThe restaurant often offers set menus that are fairly good value — the portions are generous, the pricing is reasonable, and the overall taste is above average compared to many Chinese restaurants.nnHowever, the service experience could be improved. The female dining hall manager did not appear very warm or welcoming, and her attitude felt somewhat indifferent. With better hospitality and a more friendly approach, the overall dining experience would be much better.
This is a good place if you want having dim sum. But it's a very busy restaurant, make your reservation and except you still have to wait.nThe food comes quickly after you place your order. All the restaurants are short of staff these days but they move quickly helping the customers. The colourful dim sum menu helps you placing the order. I saw someone clicking the menu while she was waiting for the table.nThe price is reasonable for the quality and portion of the food. I think they offer you one plate of good BBQ pork for free if you order more than $80? Please check it out.nThe staff are helpful even they are super busy.
Went for an early morning 10am dim sum, lots of free underground parking. Dim sum was really good, nice quality for the price.nnThe 3 of us ordered a variety of dishes including the fish rice rolls, mushroom with chives, deep fried smoked salmon with crab, and beef and parsley rice roll. All very good and different from the usual standard dim sum.nnPricing is very competitive and leans towards higher end. You get what you pay for. Discounts during weekday mornings.nnThe restaurant can get very loud during peak times and service is the usual Asian restaurant style. Fast and efficient but nothing special and you have to ask for more tea/water all the time.
