My Greek Taverna

My favorite Greek restaurant. Greek is probably one my most sought after foods and I try a lot of them, always coming out disappointed or moderately satisfied. Not here its delicious. Any place can make a Slovakia, My Greek makes it delicious. My go to whenever I'm here is the lamb shoulder, always a great cut not to fatty juicy and tender they do it perfectly. The staff is not always that friendly probably because they are always busy and rushed but I don't come here for the atmosphere just the food at this place.

Food is usually very good, love their calamari but can be hit or miss depending on when they have changed the oil. We have had experiences with dark slightly bitter calamari if the oil is not fresh. There is parking but usually of weekends may be a challenge as the parking is almost always full. Reservations are always a good idea. That said, they have always on going sale on a number of meals, but we have noticed the price creep over the years we have been going. Portion quantity is still of good value, but for the same price we have found other places that are as good or better. This is not a quiet place if you wish to have some conversation. Most of the seats and tables seem a bit cramped, and I do recall occasionally getting bumped by other patrons as they get in and out of their tables. Usually I have to lean over to hear or speak as sometimes the din of the room can be quite loud.

The food is authentic and delicious. Very generous portions for a 15 dollar lunch. Some of their stuff is a bit pricey though. I always get the chicken souvlaki and it is super tasty and the skewer of meat is gigantic. The interior is very dim which I don't mind but I do prefer brighter restaurants. Decor is a bit dated but it makes it look like a traditional taverna style. The staff are efficient but not overly friendly and the place seems very clean. I love Greek food so I'll definitely be visiting this place often!

Amazing food! That's why I keep coming back. But only some of the servers provide good service. Interestingly, they don't not have high chairs. When they are busy, they would not answer the phone either. So if you want to order take out during their rush hours, you will need to come to the restaurant. I found it interesting and ask the server and they said that's the way it is.

My Greek has the most wonderful, efficient, friendliest staff ever. The food is always delicious, the portions large and the prices very reasonable. A group of us has been going to My Greek for over 15 years, almost every week. Yes, it's that good!
